She didn't call home. My heart is broken. She called her less than liked boyfriend instead. I'm not ready for this!

That is so sad for you.

I'm so sorry to hear that.  I hope in the next few weeks she'll realize what how much she needs and misses her mother.

By the way, my daughter (as well as a few others that I'm aware of) arrived at GL yesterday too.  We're all anxious to see if any of our kids are together.  Hopefully, we'll find out soon.

Hang in there! :)

When you hear from your daughter please let me know!

We received our box today.  OK I'll admit, tears at first, but soon thereafter found comfort in seeing something from her, even if it was dirty laundry.I scoured the box for a note or something, but found nothing.  It did make me smile though as the address written on the box was in her handwriting, so that was just as good as a note. Now, we await the letter and see if our girls are in the same group!

Me too!!!  Wish I would have read the post about a glass of wine and deep breathe first.

But it was good, my son remembered not to put the shoes in there, thank goodness! Smelled like his cologne instead. LOL

Definately loved seeing his handwritting.  He is a little anal with his writing and he didn't "touch up" the address, so I could tell he didn't have much time, he always has to "touch it up"  make sure the o is closed and the i's are dotted the same.  Definately not  doctor writing, too neat.

OK now Im ready for form letter, and a love ya!

So sorry she didn't call you. I understand the let down. A young cousin of ours went thru BC about six months ago (or so). She left with a boyfriend and her parents towed the boyfriend all the way to GL for graduation. Shortly after graduation, the boyfriend got dumped. There was so much change and so much new found confidence in our new little sailor, she knew there was better out there for her. Hang on mama, there is hope.

My son arrived Tuesday, the 24th. If I'm following things here correctly, everyone who left this week will be in PIR together (if no complication arise), though the question remains if they will be in the same (or brother) divisions. I have met some awesome ladies so far and am beginning to look forward to meeting them in person. :)

Awesome news!!! Thank you so much! I wish you son all the luck!!!!
So when would that put PIR 9/23?
I'm guessing PIR would be 9/21 or 9/28. But only definite date would be on the form letter. From what I hear PIR can skip a week sometimes. Should only be a few more days till getting the letter in the mail.

I couldn't imagine not receiving a phone call. I don't think there is anything that can be said to ease that pain, but know you have a lot of support here and I'm sure once all this is done, she will realize who the important people are. Young girls are so fogged by 'love' and don't refuse to see past it till they are grown up enough to open their eyes and understand everything as a whole. Just continue to support her and love her. That is all any of us can do right now.

We are here for you.. hugs

You are so right!!! I just wish she knew I have gone through this and how it turns out!!!! Thank you so so much for replying!!!!!

I know how you feel, my son didn't call me either, however he did text his grandfather, "bootcamp" "Im here" at that was around 12:30 am. Hang in there, I'm holding on too the best way I can :)
