my boyfriend left july 11! but its really hard at first and you'll be sad but after 2 weeks, you'll get his letters, at least i did. keep busy and hangout with friends and just count down the days. ive been doing it and its going by fast lol

Yeah these last couple of days have definitely been hard so far. I already miss him like crazy, but Im gonna try to keep as busy as possible with work and then school next and I hope time will go by fast. So you recently got his first letters?

yeah its the best thing to do but you'll have moments where you cry lol. yep :) he sent 3, i had3 in one, then 2 in one and then just one by itself. i reread them every now and then but you'll get letters after like the 2 week. at least i did.

That's good to hear! Im so excited to be able to hear from him. He's my bestfriend, just my everything! Its feels so strange not having here to say goodmorning when I wake up, or go out with, to lunch, errands, anything. We did everything together up until he left. This is really gonna take a lot of getting used to.

me and my boyfriend did too! but him being excited to go made me happy for him. its the best feeling when you'll be able to read how much they miss you!

My boyfriend was pretty excited too. He said the only thing he was upset about was leaving me. Im happy for him and extremely proud. Although it will take time to adjust, I feel good just knowing that he's doing something thats gonna make him happy.

They can usually start sending letters the second Sunday of boot camp, but it all depends on how his division is doing. My boyfriend didn't get to send letters until his third Sunday, which was just this last week! He said they had to move their division the second Sunday, so they didn't get holiday routine which is when they get to send mail. It does get better, the first week is always the hardest!

Thanks so much. I've already started writing letters. I promised I would write him every day of course :) but when should I expect to get the address to send the letters to?

Writing every day really does help a lot! I write my SR every day as well, and he said he loves getting mail and hearing about my days, so keep writing! My SR left on Monday July 2nd, the box came on the 6th, and then the form letter with his address came on the 7th. So hopefully within the week it should be mailed to his mom, if not usually once a week has passed you can contact his recruiter and they should be able to give it to you! It all depends on how fast his division gets together and when they start processing days, what is your boyfriends job?

I think his job is like dental Corpsman or something like that. I know he was excited cause he said its a good job. But thats good to hear! Hopefully I will know it in the next week or so?

Then he won't be in a 800 division or 900 division, so he should be able to write the second Sunday unless they are busy. My boyfriend is in an 800 division to be an Aviation Rescue Swimmer, and those divisions have more training than the other divisions. 900 division is usually if they can plan an instrument at PIR, so they have practice on top of training. Yeah you should have his address in a week or so!!

Thanks thats great to hear :) Idk how much you know about all this stuff already, and I know Im thinking pretty far ahead, but usually how soon after they finish all their school do they usually end up getting deployed??
