Hey everyone....just wanted to let you know there is a Facebook page for loved ones of Sailors graduating on Sept. 14th. Feel free to join us.
This Facebook page was created by veteran mom's who had a hard time navigating this forum when our kids were in boot camp. We were very much in need of a Facebook Group and still have people who could help us out with their experience. So, after out kids graduated we decided to pay it forward and create the pages for the upcoming PIR's and offer our experience just as the veteran moms do on this site. We want it to be a place of comfort, support and information. We in no way wish to discourage you from Navy for Moms, it’s an awesome site and was a source of help to me when my Sailor was at BC. You can never have too much support while your loved one is in BC, so why not be a part of both? We are there to offer you what we have experienced and have learned along the way and also offer comfort and support.
The group is a closed group to offer some privacy. You have to be a member of the page to see the comments on the page and you have to request to join the group.
If you have any questions you can go to the members page and ask any of us.

great, i have a hard time navigating this site. Whenever I post something I never get an answer...I cannot even see if I posted it or not
Kajmam, I only see a total of three posts, including this one, from you since you joined the group yesterday afternoon (I may have missed a couple when looking).
You can see your posts very quickly after you click the reply button, they will show directly above the new open reply window.
Kajmam: So sorry that you are posting with no answers? We N4moms veterans are always on there trying to find questions you all may have-. I posted a "comment" on your personal page about posting. I know back when I first was on the site back in 2009, I was commenting back to myself rather than the other person! UGH! They have changed the format now, but I had no clue until someone informed me. If you have any questions about this site, please let ellen, me, Lala, FTLW, or Betsy know...private message any of us and we will be happy to help!
We just ask any who join the FB groups to please stay on this site also with your questions. Don't want misinformation out there. We N4Moms veterans spend lots of time on all of the PIR sites, messaging families with new sailors, to make sure our info is up to date. Many of us have been helping on here for more than 2 yrs. We love helping the new families here and hope that you all allow us to continue to do this!
YAY, once you get the hang of it it will be easy. And the format doesn't change all the time so you don't have to re-learn it every year lol. let us know if you need any help.
What is the name of the FB page as I can not locate it and there is no link to access.
I sent a request yesterday to be added and still have not been. Is there more than 1 page for that date or is that the only one on FB?
