For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Newly wed questions
Hey ladies!
I recently just married my sailor, 8 days ago actually, he is stationed in San Diego and were planning to move me out there in about 2 months, but many people are telling me that the Navy will pay for me to move out there, but I dont think thats true. Does anyone know if this is true or not? And also any of the ladies in San Diego do you have any suggestions on places to live?

Right I didn't say base housing. Not all of Lincoln housing complexes take all of your BAH. They have housing all over SD. I prefer to live in civilian housing & get some separation from the military lifestyle. And there are CERTAIN complexes that are for e5 and above only but they do provide housing for e4 and below.

Yes I am. We've been here since January and love it. Really couldn't have picked a better city! He's here for school so we're just hoping he stays. We live in civilian apartments and I really love them. They don't use all of our BAH and we didn't have to compromise on anything we wanted which was really surprising to us! We have a 2/2 with a dog so we pay a little more and still have BAH left over (plenty to pay our utilities, water & some left over). Just a note, if you DO have dogs only the e5 & up military housing complexes allow them around here.

It's called La Mirage, it's in Mission Valley right off the 15 & 8 freeways, so it takes about 15 minutes to get to 32nd street.

Tons of military is in here, and lots of young couples and families too. It's a nice mix of people!
