My son is in this division.  He shipped out of New Orleans on 7/10.  I finally received the form letter today!  Looking forward to meeting others who have loved ones in this division.

Hope you get your letter soon and hopefullly all our sailors are making fast friends. I am sure it makes it a little easier for them if they have people they can talk to. Good luck to you.

I finally received my letter!  I feel like I can finally breathe!  All is good and he is enjoying the bacon every day. This week should be less stressful for us, now that we have heard from our boys.  I go back to school this week so I won't be on this site as much.  Wishing everyone a great week and keep in touch!

I got a letter today also! Only problem is, I can't read it until Tuesday as I am out of town but I can't wait to read it!!

Feeling a bit blue today. Sunday is usually family fun go do something day. Since son left haven't been in the mood since we are one family member down. Just trying to stay busy to keep my mind occupied. Hope this gets better soon. :p

Well it looks like all 282 loved ones received their letter!  Yeah!!! I guess we can expect a letter at least once a week, right?  I don't know of anyone getting a phone call yet, but it think it should be in the next week or two.  However, I read that it is not guaranteed.  So I am keeping my phone with me AT ALL TIMES. I would be so mad at myself if I missed his call.  Laurie - I know exactly what you mean.  We had some family over yesterday and I finally booked the airfare for us.  We talked a lot about going to the graduation.  We are all so excited about the trip!

That is exactly what I did. I focused on trying to figure out what way would be better. To drive or fly. Hope we hear from our sailors soon, letter or phone. Also, looking very forward to trip either way.

We got our letter on Friday and it was a great letter, he is having "fun"!  I guess thats how you know he was meant to be a sailor!!  He said we would get a call in the next week or two so I really had hoped for yesterday but it didnt come so hopefully next Sunday.  From everything I saw with his best friend who just graduated Army boot camp and from what my SR wrote I thing the calls will come on Sundays but just my guestamation.  So happy to read an awesome 2 page letter and love that it comes on the RTC letterhead, that was really cool.  Have a great week ladies, we are in week 3 only 5 weeks left!!

Ladies, the calls can come any time, any day.  My son called on Sat, Sun, Thurs and Mon when he was at bootcamp.  So...phones handy at all times!

Please stay on the main PIR page here with your questions.  We N4Moms veterans don't have time to go through the all of the discussions in each PIR group (we are on about 6-7 at once) each day to check for questions, but we do check the main PIR page of the groups often.  We would be happy to answer any questions you have!  We can't check the "follow" option on all of the discussion groups or our mail boxes would crash!  So please put questions on the main PIR page.  Thanks!

I feel like a crazy person right now. I am nervous everytime I have to leave my house. I dont want to be to far from the phone. I have my cell with me, but what if he calls my house phone. UGHHHH. Going bonkers. Just wanted to share that. :)

Hi everyone just wanna introduce myself. My son is also in ship 3 div 282. His PIR is on 9/7. Also I can't wait to see him. We are all in the same boat. Thanks for sharing your own experiences..

Welcome Lalaine  So glad you joined us.  We only have about 5 or 6 moms on here from this division so we love new people.  Where did you son ship from and did you receive your first letter yet?  Keep in touch!

My son called today. It was so good to hear his voice. He sounded good except for a cold he has. Got a letter and a call. Good day Happy mom.
