For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

son may have anxiety problems. Please help
My son has been having chest pains and is having a hard time breathing. they took him to see the cardiologist and they say his heart is fine. He says he gets pains in his chest and he can't breathe. Just random times. Sometimes at night. Can someone give me some insight on if the possibility of him coming home a huge possibility or is there something they can do?? Please any info would be great.

No one knows what is going on for sure...but if he does have anxiety or panic attacks they will seperate him. They can't have people having either of those in the USN.

Hi, I'm a mom of a SR who was with your son in Ship 12, Divison286. Like you my son is now in Ship 5. Please accept my friend request so that we can support each other through this nightmare. My son does NOT want to come home, but to get back into training.

Well I got the call today. He was moved to separation. So about 2 weeks and he'll be home.

They only take into consideration what is going on with her medical. Doesn't matter if she scored a perfect on her ASVAB and was #1 in her division, as sorry to say none of that matters once they leave bootcamp.
Depending on the reason for the allergic reation..she will be seperated.
Ship 5 is the seperation ship...if she is there she was told to go home. Ship 4 is the medical ship, where those with medical issues are waiting to get better to go back to a division.

Ship 4 houses Regular training Divisions/SPECOP Divsions as well as those recovering from an injury is RCU...SEPS is Ship 5.
Was your SR sent to Ship 5?

Just to update.... My son comes home tomorrow. He did like his ship and division. Was excited for battlestations. His reenlistment code is RE3g which means he will need a waiver to reenlist if he decides to do that. We will time will do. I pray for all of those that are in SEPS. I wish them all the best in life. I do know he is a changed man even after a month. I can't wait to see him.

That's great news mryer....I pray all goes okay once he gets home.
My son said the same thing on the phone....this doesn't take long to change you mom and I don't think he meant Ship 5, I think he meant the Navy itself. And I'm going to take that as a positive thing.
