For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Got another hand written letter today!!! It was much longer than the first one!! My SR is doing great! He got all 14 letters that I sent the day I got his address at once so he loved that!! This letter made me cry though! Just happy that he is doing so good!!!
I got my second letter today! Mike sounds really good. He mentioned that another div has a chicken pox outbreak! He seems in good spirits but misses my cooking. SAid he took a hit on bunk inspection. Having seen how he made his bed at home I am not surprised . LOL glad to hear you all got letters too! Any idea when we should get phone calls Is that next week or the week after?
Hi My Son is on ship 9 Div 284, I have received 3 personal letters but nothing in regards to PIR Form.
Tell your son that you need the form letter . OR at the very least the password so you can get your passes for PIR.
omg bethr311!! So sad you missed his calls!! But you are so lucky for just getting a call. My phone goes everywhere with me and then I forward my home phone to my cell whenever I am away from home!! Is he in ship 9 div 284?
I got a call THursday from my son. Ship9Div284. He sounded great. Said he really likes it.

My son is on sip 9 div 284. I got to talk to him finaly yesterday, he sounded so good. I tried so hard not to cry while we talked.
He told me about all that he is learning and that he had struggled a little at first with all the new reg. He said the food is good and eats like a king. He was a little concerned that he had not rec'vd any letters but now that i have the address im going to send 1 or 2 a day. I booked my flight yesterday for graduation day along with a rental car but still have to get a hotel room.
I am so thankful for all the information on this site. I am kinda new at this so it has taken a bit for me to figure out.
