Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Hello everyone. My PIR group is Sept. 14, 2012, I live in Houston, TX (Alief area) and my SR is in SHIP 14/DIV290. Is there anyone else whose SR is in the same SHIP/DIV that lives in the Houston area? I would like to meet some of you and get to know the other moms/wives in my area, or close by. It doesn't matter if your SR has the same PIR date or if they are in a different SHIP/DIV. I would love to meet someone who is experiencing the same things I am.

GNLmomSHIP14DIV290, We are sort of close. Closer than most would be on this website I imagine. I am in the Spring area and gearing up for PIR just a week behind you. :) How ya hangin'?
Better this week than I was last week. Since several moms in the other groups I belong to started receiving letters last week I was kinda hoping for one of my own, but as of today I still have yet to receive one. I would cry every night when I came home and see no letter in the mail. But since talking with several vet moms and my step brother who retired from the navy and my niece who also served, I feel somewhat better. I still want that letter and phone call. However, at this point, I would be happy with a small scribbled note just saying she is ok and that she loves me. Tomorrow is our 3 week mark and so I am looking forward to getting something from her. I really want that phone call, as I have a ton of questions that I need answers to, that I just really don't want to wait for replies to come thru the mail. Plus, who knows if she will ever write. She isn't much of a writer, so I really don't expect letters everyday. But at least one or two would be nice. lol. I know she may not have a lot of time for phone calls either, but like I said there are some issues I need taken care of and she is the only one who can answer the questions I have.
