For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Leaving for Bootcamp August 1st or 2nd, 2012
I keep seeing running lists of dates that kids are leaving and I really wanted to connect with other people whose kids are leaving at the same time my son is. So, if you have a child leaving either August 1st or 2nd, post here and let's keep each other up todate on progress.

Nothing but dirty clothes and a boarding pass in the box. I'm getting anxious for information. I like schedule and order. Guess I need to work on relaxing and as they say--go with the flow!

Yeah, I think I probably need to simmer down as well. HA! I've seen some others who had SR's ship out 8/2 that already have a ship/div number that they had gotten from their recruiter and they are already sending letters. One even said the recruiter called her with the info! My son's recruiting office is closed all this week for training, so I can't get any information. My poor kid will be that kid with no letters when everyone gets their letters at mail call for a bit I guess. Neither his dad nor I got a box today. Maybe it will arrive tomorrow. I was thinking graduation would be 10/5, but someone else replied to something that they saw someone who shipped 7/25 with a grad date of 9/21 and I think I ran across someone today who shipped 8/2 with a 9/28 graduation date. Anyone here gotten a PIR/grad date yet?

My son left from Florida on August 2nd for Great Lakes. Haven't heard or seen anything since the call I received when he arrived at approximately 11:00 pm that evening. My son is a little older than some, lived out on his own and I still have some adjusting. It was a rough weekend, but I am starting to get back to the norm. I am not worried about the boot camp, it's what lies head. Up until three years ago, I was a single Mom. My life was my children. Good luck everyone. Look forward to hearing everyone's stories.

I just got my daughter's box yesteray. I had to work overtime last night and didn't get home until 10pm. Very long day knowing it was at home waiting on me. :) Now, just have to wait on the letter. I can't wait until I find out what ship she's in so I can start sending the letters. She left on Aug 1. Am thinking if all goes right she'll graduate the last Friday of September or first Friday of October.

No note but the handwriting on the box was the neatest I've seen him write in YEARS!!! Lol

My SR arrived on 8/2. I got the box yesterday and the form letter today. His PIR is 9/28. SHIP 13 DIV 313. Anyone else?

My husband just came home from the recruiters office and my son is also SHIP 13 DIV 13.
He left from Phx on 8/2 . Got the box yesterday but I haven't received the letter ... So it is very likely his PIR is also 9/28? We are so excited to finally get his address. Looking forward to hearing from others with their loved ones on the same Ship. -

It is strange to me that some of us got our letters and others did not...I got the box and letter on the same day....strange...

I still haven't got my letter. But then again, we are moving so our mail is being forwarded. Funny thing today, I received a call from my SR's Recruiter. Kind of scared me cause he has never called me before so of course I thought it was something bad. He called to tell me that my son's promotion to E2 certificate was in and I could pick it up. He recruited two of his Varsity Football Buddies to join the Navy and that automatically moved him to the E2 rating. Pretty cool. Needless to say, I was very relieved it wasn't a bad call :)
