Hi, I'm Karolina. My boyfriend left to boot camp on July 17th and is graduating on September 14th - can't wait! He's on Ship 02 DIV 944. Anyone else with the same PIR date? Anyone got a "personal" letter yet? I've been waiting for one, even though I keep on sending him new letter I write. This week is start of week 3, so I'm hoping to get something in my mailbox soon !

I can't wait!! :) and I believe they are very exhausted:/ But still, a short letter is better than no letter!!

Your SR is almost done with "the worst part of the Navy" - I'm so happy for you! However, I'm sorry you can't go to his PIR :/ I am truly hoping I won't have a huge exam on the day my SR will be graduating.. especially that he will most likely get liberty just for that day, I REALLY want to see him. Then, the next morning I think, he will go to A school in San Antonio. What about your SR?

I'm so sorry to hear that :( But I heard that there will be much more important days in his "Navy career" that you'll be able to attend. And just keep on telling him in your letters how proud you are of him, he'll definitely keep those and reread them :) It is understandable why you can't make it. Keep being strong! I think you'll be able to visit him once he's in A school. It will be a lot less strict anyway, so even having his phone on him will make your lives a lot better :)
I heard about that PDA is not allowed at PIR, but not even hugs?!

I got three letters today!!!! MADE MY WEEK FOR SURE :D
&I definitely agree with you on the hugs haha. We'll see what the limits are when we get there :) You're almost there though!!

hi! I'm Erica. my boyfriend shipped out on the 18th (he ended up shipping out a day later than expected), and his PIR date is also on september 14th. he is ship 03 div 298. i've bee waiting patiently for a letter also. I have a girlfriend whose boyfriend just finished with bootcamp and she said her first letter came on the third week, and that letters usually came on thursdays because they were only allowed to mail out their letters on sundays. hopefully we will get lucky this week! i have never checked the mail so much in my life :)

Hi Erica! I have a feeling this week is going to be a good week for us :)! Did you get the second phone call yet? I've been going crazy, making sure I don't leave my phone anywhere in case he calls. &my mailman must think I'm a stalker, since whenever he drops off the mail I am out the door trying to get it!! :D hehe.

no second call yet! his mom got the first one, which i'm actually happy about, i don't think i would have done well with a formal call at 2 am saying im here, see ya! :) i got REALLY excited when i woke up this morning and realized it was wednesday! even the slight chance that a letter might be in my mailbox has me walking on sunshine! i'll keep my fingers crossed for us!

Yup!! I got my first three letters yesterday :) He said their mail goes out on Sunday, and I noticed it was stamped 8/6, but got to me already on 8/7. However, i live only about an hour away from GL, that's probably why it got to me so fast. Hopefully you'll get your letters soon!! :)

Aw :D and yes!! Greatest feeling ever. It's just good to be reminded that they think about us as much as we think about them :)

no letter today :( tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow i hope :)
