Is there a support system in getting care packages to our Sailor?

I really don't know.  I would guess ship stuff to the APO FPO which ever it is and when they get enough together they take it out to the ship.  Maybe someone that has been out with either of the ships in the past can help with that answer.  I know parent that have mailed stuff to other ships sometimes it is real quick that they get it other times not so much.

Name/Rank

USNS COMFORT (T-AH 20)

FPO AE 09566-4008

This is the address that my husband gave me to send care packages to.  Hope this helps.

This is a great N4M group for learning how to send care packages and getting inspiration for some cool themes etc in the Discussions.  Ask any questions you may have there; there are lots of seasoned moms who are happy to what they know.  Care Package Ideas

Packages usually take about two weeks to reach our ships, but obviously this can vary and take up to four weeks.  Plan accordingly when sending your last package before they head for home - or send anyway, but make it something that won't be missed if it's not delivered in time.

(ps -  for OPSEC reasons, it's best not to post ship addresses on N4M, get from your sailor)

Hi all,
When I was standing on the pier watching Comfort pull away :(
I spoke to a wonderful lady who gave me info on sending packages. If you go to USPS web page you can mail order boxes and labels and customs papers, if we need them not sure but they are all flat rate boxes. I wasn't exactly sure what I needed (still investigating), but just to get some supplies ready. Go to the free supplies and just get stuff, then you'll be ready. Boxes, envelopes, return receipt labels etc.
I replied to a few of the ladies emails but not sure that they get posted here. Either way, I know not everyone was able to see the ship depart, but I got some great pics, I'd be glad to email to anyone who wants them! She is a beautiful ship. The mighty Comfort.
Holly

Thank you for the info. I would love to have some pictures since i was not there to see the Comfort leave. :)
