I was really hoping that I would have gotten a letter from my boyfriend today. He's only been at bootcamp a couple of weeks, I just thought that maybe I would have gotten one by now. I know it will probably be soon and I gotta be patient. I just miss him so much...I just wanna hear from him so bad. About how long is the average wait for the first letter? I know I gotta toughen up cause I've got a long way to go, but obviously today is not gonna be one of the good days :/

Hey, I know it is really hard to wait. My Boyfriend has been gone almost 4 weeks now! UGH BOO! ha ha. But dont worry. The first real letter will probably come on a Wednesday. My boyfriend left the 16th and I got my first letter on the 1st. I know its hard but just wait. I think that was like two and half weeks after he left. So hopefully you will get yours soon. I hope that helps.

Yeah, it just sucks a lot. Ive been doing pretty good about not getting so upset for the past week, I guess I just got my hopes up a little too high for his first letter. But the week isnt over yet, so I suppose theres still time. Im just missing him extra hard today and that letter would have been just the thing I needed to lift my spirits :(

It seemed like I would go forever without hearing from him. I would get my hopes all up every day I thought I might get one. I got my first letter on a Tuesday and every letter came on a different day of the week. Just when I would give up hope and be really really sad, it seemed like I would get a letter. Hang in there, you'll be so proud of him! You can do it!

Thank you so much for your encouragment! Im already so incredibly proud of him, just missing him like crazy. I never thought I could love and miss someone so much. It just hurts a little, but I pray for strength everyday. I know that God would never put more on us than we can bear. Today's a rough day, but I know Im gonna be just fine. Fingers crossed for tomorrow! :)

They aren't allowed to write for the first couple Weeks. The first time my hubby was able to write was the 2nd Sunday he was there. Since he left on a Tuesday, that put it at almost 3 weeks. Plus, sometimes the mail sits for a while before it goes out. I got a letter from him postmarked more than week after his last entry on it. It sat in the mail room for several days. I know its hard to be patient, but you have to be strong for him so he doesn't worry about you. They have so much on their mind they need to focus. Write him a lot, though. Tell him you miss him, what you're doing. I read up on what he was doing and talked about that some. I gave him some heads up on what was coming up, which he appreciated. Like, next week is hell week, I know you'll be so busy. . You'll be doing x, y, and z. Or when the weapons training came, I knew he'd enjoy that part. its a one sided conversation for the most part. I only got 4 letters in all 8 Weeks. You can add Mr if you want to talk.

Thanks, I really do hope I can get one soon. Im just dying to hear from him. Im doing my best to be strong. I have been writing him everyday since he left and sending all of them out since I got his address about a week ago. Although I do tell him how much I miss him, I do my best to keep all my letters positive. The last thing I want is for him to be worried about me. He's got enough to think about. Im doing my best to stay strong for him and for me. This is such a big change from spending everysingle day together, but Im doing my best to hang in there. Thank you for the advice :)

Briana&isaiah, I know exactly how you feel. You can read my comment below and see how today has also been one of those days! Thankfully I don't have much longer before he graduates, but missing out on a letter is the worst feeling ever :(

We just gotta hang in there I guess, but congrats to you on making it this far. Next friday isnt very long to wait at all, you'll be seeing him in no time. Unfortunately im only 2 1/2 weeks in. I was doing good the last few days, but idk i guess it was just the disappointment and wanting to hear from him so bad, but I just broke down, I couldnt help it. Im trying my best to be strong though. Today has been hard, but the only thing I can do is let it out , get back up and dust myself off, say a prayer for us and keep going. Easier said than done but I know i will make it. Maybe your letter will get here tomorrow. Could have been a hold up with the mail, you never know.

You will get a letter soon I promise. I was the exact same way two weeks ago. I was very moody and grumpy to everyone around. BUT... When you do get that letter (which you will very soon) it will be the best feeling in the world.

Thanks :) Im really looking forward to hearing from him! I cant wait! I really hope he is doing good so far and that he has adjusted well!

Awww thank you so much, those are very kind words! :) its nice to be surrounded by people who care and who understand.

NicksWifey, it so SOO comforting to read this. My boyfriend graduates next Friday, but today is the first Thursday since he's been gone that I haven't gotten a letter :( Today is super hard and I broke down in tears (something I haven't done in a few weeks!) I was wondering "Did he not have time to write on Sunday?" Other moms have gotten their letters today, and I am so happy for the, but sad at the time time too.
