For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

counting the days... OMG I can't even concentrate at work anymore..pretty useless right now. I can't seem to remember anything not related to bootcamp.. I can pretty much guess what day they are in but can't remember to do anything else.. lol
I travel a lot for work and when someone ask where I'm going (no matter what state) I automatically say Chicago... Jeez.. driving my boss crazy LOL

You are quite welcome!! I cannot even think of any of us staying at a place with bed bugs and potentially head lice... gives me the creeps. If it is anything, blood sucking creatures absolutely repulse me!! Icky! I was born and raised in Indiana so ticks, fleas and mosquitos are quite the norm but I don't even want to think about bringing home bed bugs and head lice!!! I sincerely wish that I had known sooner the details of this hotel, else I would never have reserved with them in the first place, but hind sight is 20/20 and so now we know. :) I called my sister immediately and was ever so grateful that we didn't get to know this after the fact. Yuck! When the first review on Trip Advisor headlined the word "Scary", I was not encouraged but when I read on... yikes.
I hope to meet several of you while we are there as many of you have been my "rock" to get through this. 24 1/2 more days and counting!!!

Anyone have a SR in 268?
My son sounds pretty down and says he is hanging in there for us. Breaks my heart, this has been his dream as long as I can remember. It still doesn't seem like the division is working well together. I just wanted to get any other perspective if you have heard anything from your SR about it.
I'm on Facebook a lot more than here, but can't find any Div. 268 Moms there. :(

I'm sorry to hear that. My son is also in the same division and has mentioned before that they were struggling as a division but they were getting better. He's 22 so he may have a different perceptive on the experience. He did say in his letter yesterday that they got IT but he actually enjoys the work outs. Did you talk to your son or was it a letter?My son has the night watch and is a stick. He also mentioned that he cleans the bathroom at night.

Hi ladies,
My son is in Div 268. He says he's a member of "The Nasty Nine", the name they've given their head cleaning group. He is such a germaphobe that it's really ironic that that is the job he's been assigned. Perhaps he knows and works with your son, ram33. I don't know what shift he has. BTW, what's a stick?
We received a call from him 2 or 3 weeks ago and several letters. He still seems pretty frustrated with some of the guys in his division. He says he just can't understand why you would sign up for this and not take it more seriously. He says that they act like jr. high boys at summer camp. Hopefully Hell Week made an impression on them and they will all pull together like real Sailors by the time they reach Battleship.
I'm sure they are not the first division to have a group of bozos so don't lose heart. Their RDCs are tough and know what needs to be done.

Hi Tsam,
Stick (not sure if I'm saying this correctly) - he is carrying a flag in the graduation ceremony.
My son said the same thing about the division needing to get it together. My son would be the one working out at night.. He is an exercise freak! Loves to work out, running and training.
He was more positive in this last letter. He did mentioned some kids just can't get out of their own way and brings down the team. I will ask about the Nasty Nine.. that's funny. I think he said he choose the night shift so he can use the bathroom last?? He said he made some good friends so far and it's getting easier as the weeks go by. He really is enjoying the experience even with the screaming and IT.. He did go in ready to enjoy it no matter what and where ever it leads him.

My son is also in 268. His letters are pretty short, but other than his first letter he hasn't mentioned any problems in the group. I think he just doesn't want to worry me. I know he was SIQ for a few days so maybe he missed some drama. I am also on fb Melissa Craw Stewart. What is your name on fb? It seems like I can never find anyone in 268 on there either. But it is hard to tell if they don't write the division number in the post

Just a gentle reminder ladies that if your last name is the same as your recruits...you may not post it on this site as per the N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC. If not, then no worries!
To delete and repost just copy, paste into a new reple and edit your last name out...then go back and delete the original by clicking the "x" in the top right corner. TY!
