Hello laurasue. Always nice to see more people who have family graduating same day as my husband!

I everyone!  My son is ship 04 div 820 he is graduation on Sept. 28th also.  Need lots of information.  When my son sent his letter home with the date and who was on the list he put 1 friend.  I don't think he understands he has to put his family on they aren't just automaticly on there.  I about flipped out.  I sent him a letter telling him he had to add us or we couldn't see him graduate.  I don't think he understood the 4 on the list thing.  Haven't gotten a phone call yet.  I assume it will be 2 more weeks until I hear from him.

Hi.  My son graduates the same day and only filled out three names. Thank goodness that they are people that have planned on attending!  But the last line he left blank and told me to pick it out?

My son left me, his dad, his brother and his nana off and added a girl we don't even know.  He hung with her at college.  I sure hope he changes it before we get there. We even talked about it before he left.  The hard part is we can't verbally communicate with him it is all by letters.    Hardest thing I think I have had to deal with so far.

This is normal as it is a preliminary list. It is fast and furious during P days and no, he may not have known or had time or heard! Recruits finalize the list a couple of weeks befroe PIR.

We have even seen the dogs name on it!

Hi my son graduates 9/28 also.  My son put who we discussed on the invite list thank goodness as i would probably freak out too..  I would in every letter in big caps reiterate how important it is he puts your names down on there cause what i hear if he doesnt you will not get in with the other guest, but would probably be let in if there is room after the invited guest are sitting.

Hey Laurasue87.  I am looking so forward to this date so I can see my son again,  Have you heard from him?  I haven't except when he first got there.

Hi Nurse P!  That is the only call I received as well.  I know they said three weeks before they could call but I was secretly hoping he would call yesterday.  (Sunday)  Didn't happen but I should understand since I also did basic several years ago.  Army though.  I have been literally having my cell on me at all times!  Am I the only one?  lol!

Nope not only one. I keep my cell on me 24/7 charged and
ready to go incase hubby calls!

No...I take my phone to church! Not going to miss a call!

I received a call from my son yesterday around 4 pm i could not believe it, its only been almost 2 weeks.  He had won a rope tieing competition and they allowed him a 10 minute phone call.  I was outside and thank goodness i had thought to bring my phone with me, when i saw the 847 area code come up...i freaked!! LOL  10minutes went fast but he sounded positive and good and said it was harder than he anticipated but that was alright just seemed time going slow, i told him i know but you already almost have 2 weeks behind you.  SO Mama's happy for now!  Hope all of you get something such as this soon.  He said he sleeps on top bunk and is friends with the bottom bunk buddie.  Said the food is "alright:  LOL!

Oh also he had done a swimming test and passed, so those of you with ship 13 div 309 can get an idea what has been happening just a little bit.
