For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Hi guys - I love reading everyone's comments, but would love to have the Brother/Sister Division members together. We know that our sons/daughters/husbands/wives/girl-boyfriends are all going through training together and helping each other out. So...hi...! :)

Hi Ohiosailormom, my son is also on 12/269 and headed to Pensacola for A-training. We are from NY. So brand new to online chat/blog...whatever this is. My SR called home for the second time on Saturday, sounds like a great division, working well together. They all signed a card for my SR's little sister's b-day. She was thrilled to get it since she was sad her big brother was away.

Does anyone know if they will get "extra" time on Liberty since it will be a Holiday weekend. We are planing on leaving on Sat. but now I'm not sure if we should wait until Sunday to leave. I have read in a couple other places that they might get an extra day.

I just booked my hotel and I am only staying until Saturday...but if they get extra time off then I will stay longer....if you hear anything let me know.

What I have read it starts at 9AM sharp. I also think it said that everyone has to be seated by 8:45.

Phone call today:) He got to talk for 1 hour. I didn't get to talk to him but my mom, husband and his girlfriend did they said he soundd wonderful and that he is doing very well. Excited about starting firearms training this week. He said though that the section leader thing kind of sucks because he gets yelled at if things aren't the way they should be but he said the food is really good.

PIR is from 9 am - 10:30 am. People should plan to arrive early. We left on the 6:30 shuttle and were in the PIR Hall by a little after 7. A good number of people were already there. Ours only had 9 divisions....with 12 divisions here, get there early! :-)
