While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ladies, please stay on the main PIR page here in addition to this discussion. We N4Moms veterans try and check the discussions periodically, but don't have time to be on here everyday. But we do check the main PIR pages each day so will be offering info there and answering questions! We are on 6-8 PIR groups at once so just don't have the time to get on all of the discussions daily in each group.

Is anyone planning on going to a meet and greet? Which one is the best one to go to?

I am driving up on Thursday...I don't know if I will make it to any meet & greets...I know it is about a 8 hour drive for me.....when are you going up?

We are also coming up on Thursday. We have a 4-5 hour drive plus they are an hour behind our time so that helps until we head back of course.

We were planning on going to the one at Flanagan's, only because it is right down the street from where we were staying. I'm not sure which one is best to go to.

That is the one that we are thinking of going to also. We are staying at Homewood Suites in Lincolnshire and I think that is the closest one to that location.

The MeetandGreet with the most info will be Sarge's MeetandGreet. He is very connected to the Navy families there and the sailors at A School there (through his transportation service). He has a transportation service there that the A School sailors use as do the families for PIR. Everything is very close around the GL area. He is retired military-- in the area for over 30 years, so he is a wealth of info and help with transportation too!

I have a 16 and 13 year old that will also be going are they allowed to go?

Received letter today and Nathan said that this week they will be doing the gas chamber which he said he is not looking forward to of course. And he also said that it was 13 days until Battle stations which I am not sure when that was because he didn't date the letter.
