Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Got sons address!!!
Let the letter writing begin! My son, Alex, left on the 9th and I got his address today from his recruiter. He is in Ship 03 Div 323......anyone else have a child in the same one?
I'm still waiting on the kid in the box and the form letter. How long does that usually take to come? I'm in Wisconsin....about 3 hrs from GL if that makes a difference.

Where did he leave from? Was he with the Cardinal Company out of St Louis? Congrats, btw. I am still waiting to hear. My son left the 9th as well

We live in Wisconsin. He stayed the night at MEPS in Milwaukee on the 8th and they took him to GL in a van with another SR. My son said it was just him and the other boy in the van on the way to GL.
Your sons recruiter should have his address. When I went into the office today to get it my sons recruiter already had a letter written to him and was ready to be sent. :)

Be sure to go to http://bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp to double-check the address you received from the recruiter. Recruiters sometimes give a generic address for the RTC and if the street address is not correct, it can delay mail to your recruit for several weeks.
