Hi Brenda. My son is in ship 09 div 284 and he got to call Thursday. As I posted right after it happened, I missed him. I've read that they can miss a call opportunity if they're standing a watch. I hope you get one soon, and I get another chance!

if any of ya'll are on facebook, here is a private group https://www.facebook.com/groups/286552244785527/

I also received a call on Thursday, he called me first and we talked for a while and he was able to call his dad and talk to him for a while also.  It was great to hear his voice.  He is doing very well.  Decided the food is not as bad sa he thought.  When I got home that day we also had a letter from him.  Have made the reservations for graduation.  What is the Sarge meet and greet?  Also for graduation do we have to wear certain attire?  Can my husband wear jeans or is that not okay?

Well Another letter today!  Still no phone call even though he thought he was going to get to call on the 2nd.  Still wandering why no call.  I also got his ship coin in the mail today!!  I am pretty certain that he will love it!!  Love getting letters but just want to hear his voice!!!!

Letter on a monday? seems unheard of but I am not complaining!!  Found out that my SR was on watch when the phone calls were granted.  284 seems to be somewhat sick. One SR even has Pneumonia.  Pink eye is going around also. Has anyone else heard from their SR?

Hi brenda.. my sons gf got a letter today too. didnt mention anything about being sick just that hell week starts today. hope they are ok not getting sick! hows your SR?

Doing great.  Has had a sore throat and runny nose but that always happens to him this time of the year. He says that it is not affecting his Physical training so that makes me feel good!! Did you get a phone call? we did not because he was on watch. I guess some has to be on watch. just wish that I would have gotten a call!

Oh good. glad he is not too sick. His gf did get the call. I didnt. I got one letter thursday! they must have more time to write because his gf got 2 today. I ordered the coin too cant wait to get it. my friend also had a PIR ribbon made for me with navy ribbon and gold embroidery.. super pretty! I pray that you get a call soon!!

Hi ladies. Got a letter toay. My SR says they are all getting Strep throat! He also added a postscript that they got a perfect score on Marlinspike (whatever that is) He was excited about it. I was pretty shocked to get a letter on a Monday too. But hey I am not complaining.

I also got a letter today. My Sr says they are all coming down with strep throat. He also added a note at the end that they got a perfect score on their MArlinspike (whatever that is). He didn't tell me his bunkmate's name but it rhymes with Ishmael. If that sounds familiar to anyone???

I did get letters today! Which was a total shock as I usually get them on Wednesday! But sooooo not complaining! He has been healthy so far thank God and he hasn't mentioned anyone being sick. But being a boy, someone two racks down could have the plague and he might not notice. Will be sure to pray extra hard for the good health of all our SRs!
Oh Lord my son is susceptible to strep throat, I hope they all recover quickly!
