Hi Dreamer1118, I have not gotten a personal letter yet, just the form letter. Hope they will get our letters this week so they can write back.

I haven't gotton one yet, but I'm not sure my son will write. LOL!! I'm so hoping he surprises me, though!! :)

I got a letter today.  I was at work so my husband scanned and emailed it to me.  I printed it out, grabbed some tissues and headed outside.  He said he is bunking with 91 other guys, the food is pretty good.  He also said it's not as hard as he thought but there is yelling.  I don't know that he would say it was bad even if it was. He knows how I worry.  It was a short letter that was written before breakfast on Sunday.  Finally, contact with my son.  I feel a good bit of relief

Wow good for you...it is so nice that your son took the time to write you even if it was a short letter....at this point I would be happy with anything even just a hi mom, I am fine......

Jo

I got one today. I am happy he sounds good. He was in DEP for a long time and his best buddy was in boot camp in May so I think he was prepared. Desn't sound like he for any mail yet as of Sunday...

Good for you...glad he sounded good in his letter....question what is DEP??? thanks

Jo

Delayed enlistment program. He signed with the Navy in November. They have routine meetings and training to help prepare you for entry.

Oh ok then my son was that also he sign up when he turned 17 last Feb...I had to sign for him...I guess I just did not put the DEP with Delayed enlistment...thanks

Yeah my hubby has a surprise coming.. i write sometimes 2 letters a day!
Plus when he gets this last letter soon enough he will find out i put our
4 year old in preschool yesterday! So considering we had talked alot about
Home schooling our kids it'll be a shock that i put him in public school
I got my letter today!!!!!

So excited. Got letter today and so did his girlfriend. Says Div 313 is getting along great!

That is such great news! My son is 313, and I haven't heard a word from him. At least hearing that the division is doing great makes me feel much better!!
