OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello:
I've been receiving letters about the division from my son. He says that their division is bonding and there's a sense of brotherhood within their group. He also stated that on some nights (I believe on Sundays) they've been having great heart to heart talks, singing, rapping, free-styling just to wine down and get things off their chest. He stated that there's a lot of Corpsmen in this division with the same aspirations. He stated that their RDC is a Master Chief, the highest enlisted rank, so their division is lucky. He says they are eating well and so far everything's going great. He also said that his bunkmate is from New York. I just wanted to share some things with everyone who has a SR in this division. I hope to hear stories from any and eveyone and hope to meet some of you on grad date 9/14! Stay encouraged and God Bless!
PS: I missed his first call on Saturday, did any of you receive a call?

Yes I got a call Saturday morning. I am sorry that you missed your call. Tyler told me that they will not get to call agian till the last week. Yes my son also said that thier group is starting to work together as a team. I think this will be a hard week for them so keep them in your prayers. He said they will stay up till midnight and getting up at 4 am with lots of hard training this week. I cant wait to get to see him at Graduation!

Oh, no not until the last week :( I've been hard on myself and crying my eyes out since missing that call! It's even worse since didn't get a chance to talk to him being that he's up against a hard week. I've been dropping letters in the mail daily, telling him to stay encouraged and I regret missing his call. Thank God you had a chance to talk to your son, Tyler. Thanks so much for your reply. Will definitely keep praying and I can't wait til graduation as well!

My SR is Elliott, DIV 292. I am so gladdened by your comments about the bonding, I got a call last week and he was so sick with teeth out and the flu and very homesick. I cant wait to see him at PIR on 14th! Thank you for sharing your words. I willbe sure and Pass on anything I hear too!

Hi akeewee...I will be keeping your son, Elliott in my prayers. My son, Donald had his teeth pulled and said his gums were tender and that he had a lot of bleeding, but the good thing is they will be in sick quarters and will be on light duty until they are well. So I truly pray for a speedy recovery and I'm sure his division will help lift his spirits up. I can't wait until the PIR on the 14th as well. I look forward to hearing from you soon! God Bless.

Hi! My husband is one of the old guys on Div 293! He called Sat morning and as soon as I picked up the phone he started crying! We have been together for 14yrs (since teenagers) and married for 8. He says is not that hard but he misses me and the kids too much, he said that has been the hardest for him. He did mention they are a SMART division, lots of Nukes, Corpsmen and Aircrew (he is aircrew), reason why they haven't done any IT (Intensive Training) which other division have done constantly for messing around or some of the recruits not behaving. So if they have come up to week 4 without IT, they probably won't do any IT until PIR. He also said Master Chief reunites them for 3 minutes before bed to pray with them. He also mentioned about the rapping at night! So far so good for them! They got their Academics flag last week.

Hi Mrstower,
My significant other is 'one of the old guys' on Ship-13 Div-293 as well. He is corpsman. He mentioned there was another 'older guy' like him & that his div was bonding well where the guys look out for one another & help each other out. Makes me feel better knowing this.
It's been so hard to be away from him & not be able to communicate the way we used to. At least we have the letters now & yes, I was able to talk to my guy last Saturday. We both cried. I was so happy to hear from him. It was very difficult the first week when all I got was that 30 sec phone call then nothing for days & days. Then 'the box' came & it felt so strange to get the clothes he last wore.
But now just counting down the Fridays.
Just wanted to reach out to someone who may be going through the same thing I am.
Hang in there, just about half way through. -

Lol!! You made it!!
This morning I woke up late, so I drove our girl to school and raced to the post office, I mail every morning before they pick it up at 8am, today it was 8:20am when I arrived! The mailman was picking up the mail in his truck at that same moment, he looked at me and said give me the letters, they fly out this morning!! LOL So I know how you feel!!

Hi all!
Got 4 letters today from my husband. In one of the letters he mentioned one recruit who was really homesick and sad since he couldn't reach his family when he called home. I know I can't post his name in here. He asked me to write to this SR. All I can say is he is 19 and from FL. My husband took him to church with him this past Sunday and is working with him so he doesn't quit. If you think this is your SR inbox me please. Oh, no..that broke my heart reading that. At first I thought you were referring to my SR. But we are from Texas. I missed my son's call, but I got a letter and his spirits seemed to be up. He said that the call would have been short any way. The division is Blessed to have your husband there to lead and guide them. His good deeds will not go unnoticed. God Bless
