For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Cheap/Good Hotels near San Diego Naval Base...
Trying to visit my fiance in San Diego on the 23rd .Having trouble finding affordable hotels to stay at. Any advice or if anybody knws of some please share. Thanks.

Which base? I live in San Diego & actually work in hotels. Has he checked the Navy Lodge on base? That will be your cheapest.

I just knw its san diego naval base. i think if it had any specific title, it would be Coranando because thats what comes up on my cell phone when he calls from the ship phones. We checked Navy Lodge and Gateway hotels and they were all booked up until like October :(

Ask him if he's at North Island or 32nd st (I looked at your profile and saw hes on a ship).

Do you have transportation? There are about 5 different bases out here and they're not close. If you can find out which base he's at it will be easier to find hotels. For example if he's on Coronado you don't want hotels near 32nd street or Point Loma.

i booked at Days Hotel .Its close to Ea World, Zoo and she said about 15-20mins. But everytime i ask him for the exact name of the base he tells me its called Naval Base San Diego and thats it. I guess its not Coranando but he sayed its close to that one so idk....

I just got back from San Diego :) I stayed at the Clarion Hotel and it was really nice on the inside. I felt the outside didn't have the absolute best appearance but my stay there was perfect! :) they also have a military discount :) I think it ended up being around $109 a night! I hope you have a great trip!

Have you looked into the hotel on base? He can book you a room under his name if there are any rooms available. I don't know about San Diego, but my fiance is based in Pensacola and you have to book almost 2 months in advance to get a room. Worth a shot though...
