Hi all We got a letter today too. That's the 3rd. He was sick, but is getting better. He said that they did good on Marlinspike,it's line handling(rope) My Sr took a day of lld(light duty) which made me worry about grad date(still the same as far as I know)Got a call on a Thurs. He called me,tried to call his Dad and then called the gf.

It's only 24 days, girls! Can't wait!Hope you are all well and I'll be praying for the health of all our SR's!

Rental car through priceline 96.46

I know they are teaching them all kinds of things!  But can't they remind them how important it is to wash their hands so they can keep the sickness under wraps?  I sure hope that my SR is not getting Strep!!  But he did say that he was feeling better so hopefully just viral!!!  If your SR has had strep they need new toothbrushes!!! Of course my SR said nothing about the Marlinspike. So I guess that I will just have to put that in tonight's letter!  So jealous of all that has had a phone call!!  If you haven't ordered their ship coin I highly recommend it!!  Takes just a few days to get it and it just awesome!!!

Where do I order it?

ebay just search the ship number and name, they are very nice, I just got mine today! :)

Cool! Thanks

Hi All,

I am new to the site, even though my son will be graduating soon (hopefully), so can someone tell me what is the Ship Coin and where can I get one?

ebay, put in the ship number,do you know the ship name?

I went to Ebay, I saw the coin there were 10 available, but 15 were ordered.  My son is Ship 09, Div 284 John F. Kennedy is the ship.  But what is the purpose of the coin?  And where can I order the T-Shirts and/ or hoodies with my son's division?

I just got the coin in the mail yesterday. They are really nice gifts for your SR and yourself marking him making it through BC.. they are very heavy really nice and detailed! I ordered 2 and went back and ordered one more. The John F Kennedy coin is awesome!

KrevonsMom, the challenge coin is basically a collectible, but if I remember right, if a group of sailors were drinking and someone called challenge, the sailor without a coin bought the next round. If everyone had one, the guy who called challenge had to buy. They're very well made, great detail and enameling and a good heft to them. You can get the shirts with the division flag from Poseidon Sportswear. I just ordered one for my dad tonight to wear to PIR.

Bethr311 thank you so much for all of the information, but its really a good thing that I didn't order one of those coins, I got a call from SR today, telling me that his PIR has been moved back 2 weeks, because he failed a test, he was devastated that he will not be attending PIR with his division, he was so sad, I literally wanted to drive to GL and bring him home and take care of him.  Thank you wonderful ladies for your time and sharing your knowledge, but now I must join the group Ship 12 Div. 306 :-)
