My husband wrote me two letters late last week and one mentioned getting yelled at to write after getting in trouble. He was basically 0.o....but i'm writting one now...? He mentioned the gettign in trouble bit too. That something happened in Dental and alot of people got in trouble. He said he did, but for guilt by association, not actually doing anything :/
Has anyone heard more on what happened??? that and he mentioned getting in trouble for being told to lead a group of recruits to an appointment, and didn't know what he was doing so he got in a ton of trouble, as he said. Oddly his seem to bounce, though lately more negative as of late. Wish I could fix it!
My son did call us but it was short, just to get the info for clearance stuff. His girlfriend told me that in her letter he said that when he gets his 1 hour call to call anyone he wants, he broke it down to 20 min with mom and dad, 20 min with his sister and 20 min with her. All his letters to her are more informative then the ones he sent to us. I had to find out from her that he is not a Grad and Go and that he only gets 9 1/2 hours to spend with us after graduation because he leaves really early the next morning for A school. That is better then some get. The Grad and Go sailors only get an hour or two to be with their families. Make sure you all ask in your letters if they know if they are Grad and Go. In one of the letters he sent us there was a short one to us and a three page one that he asked me to give to his girlfriend (no, I did not read it, tempted, but no). He ran out of stamps. I had to laugh to keep from blowing up at him in my next letter.
Who's SR is going to A school at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX? Just received 2 more letters. Had his wisdom teeth out and missed getting to make his call.:(
I just got two letters it was great. My son also had his wisdom teeth pulled and didn't get to make his phone call. Whats up with that? Do they automatically pull their wisdom teeth? He told me he got his dress whites and blues and it was awesome, I can't wait to see him.
Who knows! Last time he had his dental appt., they told me that his teeth were not ready to come out. He did tell us that he got to try on his Navy Whites and Blue uniform ... that he looked tough... Sounds ready to complete this journey and graduate.
My SR had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out! Hopefully that's the reason she didn't get to make her call...
So far, we've received 3 letters and one phone call. He's the yeoman - I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds good! He's going to A school in MS. We're not going to any of the meet and greets, but I hope to meet you guys in person at PIR! It sounds like we'll have a long wait from the time we get there until the time the PIR ceremony actually starts. I'll be the fluffy lady with long dark hair (probably put up) in green and brown top with brown crop pants with my hubby and step daughter. I hope some of you find me!
Mom of B- Yoeman is definitely good! Some type of administrator (paperwork, etc.) for the SRs. Sorry to hear you won't be at Sarge's meet and greet, but hopefully we will meet :)
Good morning, everyone! Quick question, does anyone else's SR fail to mention any details about BC in their letters? The only information we've received is that he's passed his swim test and he had to go the medic. Nothing else.... other than homesick, etc. Can someone give me an update on where Ship 9 Div 287 is on their training, etc..?
I'm not 100% positive, but I believe they just finished hell week, yaay! I don't get any details except she passed tests, or failed, made SL. And she got wisdom teeth pulled. I have not heard anything about the Marlinspike, or weapons training or anything like that, if that's what you're looking for...
