Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Thanks... I am so excited to ask the names of his new friends so I can connect with their mothers... If I am lucky it just maybe your son! I bet your letter will be here tomorrow! Graduation will be in 6 "short" weeks and I am so looking forward to it. I cannot wait to see them in their dress white uniforms walking through that bay door... it will be a proud moment for us all! Not to mention a big accomplishment for the new "sailors"...
It was been a great support having this website to talk with other mothers and to learn more about what is happening at boot camp. Sending lots of prayers and support your way!

I am sure that it will be coming soon! I have been told by another mother whose son was in boot camp and was a faithful follower of Navy for Moms, that when one mother got something, it was like a chain reaction. She said that when one mother got a phone call, that she would sit waiting for her phone to ring everyday, and within one or two days, the call came. It is the same with letters.. I am looking forward to your son's adventures and feelings so far... I think with all mothers posting about what they know... we should all be well informed... I mean isn't that what mothers are for...lol!

I received my first letter yesterday!! My son is in Div 310. Don't worry ladies the letters will be coming soon. If one person is allowed to mail letters they all are allowed. Time to write at boot camp is very limited so it does depends on how much time your son has had to write. My son sent a short letter saying he is doing well and I have to say it was a relief to get. Hang in there, it should be soon now.

My son is also in Div 310. It will be just my luck that something comes in the mail today after I leave town for a wedding. At least it will be here when I get back. I just want to hear from him to put my mind at ease.

dont give up, i got my call on a sunday around this time, right now it is around 4 pm texas time sunday, august 19th at the time i just posted this note to you sassyblonde66. So dont give up may get a call yet today. Hope you do!

I have been away too! I am still waiting and like you I just want to hear from him as well to put my mind at ease!! I was disappointed to get home and still no letter! So I am really hoping for one this week!! I hope you get a letter soon too!

My son is on Ship 13, Div 310 and he is going to be a Hospital Corpsman too. We moved to Laredo, TX about 12 years ago so I'm extremely blessed to have him coming back so close to home to attend A school in San Antonio. I got my first letter yesterday. It was one of the those moments that takes your breath away to finally see it sitting in the mail box!!
