Hello :)  My son shipped out this past Tuesday, August 14th.  I am thinking his PIR date will be October 12th.  Does anyone know if that sounds right?  Thanks!!

LOL I have been doing the same thing :) I see that several recruits that left on the 6th have a PIR date of October 5th, so that's why I am thinking the 12th sounds about right. I just don't like not knowing! It makes me feel out of control!

I know what you mean about the cell phone.  I missed his call letting me know he had arrived at GL safely.  I was laying in bed with my cell phone on my chest waiting for it to ring, when all of a sudden it dings and I have a voicemail - it never even rang!  We live out in the boonies and the service with our current carrier is awful.  I was upset, but I know he wouldn't have been able to talk anyway.  I told my husband I am ready to just go ahead and pay the earlier termination fee and switch to the carrier that has really good service out here.  I told him if I miss his next call I will DIE lol!!

You can check with the recruiter. Although as far as the address sometimes they are wrong. So just to know wait to get the form letter so you know the address for sure Good Luck.

i will be so glad when the form letter comes...so ready to start checking on flts.the hardest part is the not knowing, if we could just some kind of call that would give us piece of mind i would so much better.

We decided to drive for a couple of reasons.  First, we can't afford plane tickets for 4 of us!!  Also, if his PIR date changes, I wasn't sure how difficult or how expensive it would be to change the tickets.  I read that Southwest is very flexible, but unfortunately they don't fly out of our area :/  So, we will be driving 16 hours to get there!  It will be me, my husband, our 7 year old daughter, my mother, and possibly my father too!  It should be an adventure!!

My son shipped August 13th. I am still waiting on the letter before I make any plans.

My daughter shipped on Aug.13th too. from Raleigh,NC I received my form letter today. Ship:09 Division:327

Hi ladies Dom shipped out aug 14. I would love to keep in touch with all ya'll. So far ive gotten the box and the red cross letter . Hello all. My son left for men's on 14th and got to bc on thurs 16 th. his call was 31secs and exactly as everyone says. I'm here safe, the box will come next week, look for letter lev you gotta go. Thank goodness ths site tells us what to expect! My son is the baby of 5 so we are now empty nesters too! Very quiet around here. Even dog is walking around whimpering : (

Hi ladies!! We will be starting the group for the next PIR of 10/12 early this week. There will be lots of information and several of us "veteran moms" lurking there to help answer all your questions. Lots of information to come your way and a great place to connect with other moms.

The RTC is a little slow getting the PIR dates with divisions posted right now. I will post the link as soon as we get it going.

Hang in there the time will go faster than you think it will. :)

Wonderful!!  That will be awesome - thank you!!
