They completed Marlin Spike August 14. My SR said it was really fun. Week 4 actually started August 15, so they will not finish "Hell Week" until Tuesday (if Saturdays & Sundays still don't count). He said the RDCs are taking things lighter now and some of the punishments are getting funny. He's having a good time pretty much. He's mentioned a few friends, but I don't know thier first names. I'm praying they (and we) all make it thru Hell Week and inspections. I think that I'm more worried than he is. :)
Really? Not done with hell week? Barb, is 4-5 on Monday? Was really hoping that was over. I'm worried too :)
Sorry that I've been off here for a couple of days. We had corporate in the building at work for "conferences". Been a busy week. It's weird that we still have lives outside of N4M and the Navy. Wish that everyone here could understand what we are going thru.
My dates show indicate that 4-5 was Tuesday -yesterday. (Unless they made changes to speed things up.) 4-1 started last Wednesday and 5-1 started today. I think they do the tear gas chamber this week.
Barb, thank you for the update. I haven't heard anything from my SR. I am worried, too
Haven't heard from my SR this week. hoping i'll have a letter in the mail today >.< i WILL be at the meet and greet on Thursday. My plane lands EARLY haha. i'm looking at hotels now, looks like i'll be getting the navy gateway.
Questioning Serenity~ I hear Navy Gateway is ON base and that you have to have a military ID in order to stay there. Just a heads up :)
My train is supposed to get in at 4pm, however, got a phone call from Amtrak yesterday saying the train will most likely get in around 2-4 hours late! So I'll be at Sarge's, but I'll be there @6 or 7pm. Hope everyone's still there so I can meet you all!!!
I already have my Mil ID. Joys of living literally 5 minutes away from a base.
Haha I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum, my plane should arrive at 8am. i'll be there still don't worry :)
We got another letter from our son today. He is still sick and was sent back to the medic after failing his final fitness test 2 times. Does anyone know how many times he will be able to retake it prior to PIR and still graduate? I hope they put him on some medicine. Thought it might be brochitis or pheumonia? I really hope he can retake so he can graduate on 9/7? Any information is helpful. Thanks!
I guess I am not sure if it is his final fitness test? does anyone know if that is what they were testing for last week?
