The phone cord had a problem! Each time my son coughed or moved the wire moved and it got crackly on the phone! He had to hold it in place! But we still managed to talk. YAY

Got a call about 3pm!  He sounds fabulous and very proud of his divisions inspection scores. He said they are really together and are doing fine.  He was able to get snacks and a break at the NEX (being rewarded with free time and calls!).  He can't wait to see us and I was in heaven hearing his voice and the "I love you Mom" that I've missed so very much.

I got a phone call also and he was also able to call his mom for the first time!!! He was extremely happy to be drinking a red bull! I also had a hard time hearing my boyfriend, it kept cutting in and out every now and then but I listened very hard so I could hear what he was saying! He is very happy to be almost done with BC and can't wait for Captain's cup on Saturday! He said the 800 division 'dominates' compared to other divisions, and that they are all really looking forward to it!

I got a call too!!! I was so excited to hear his voice for the first time since he left that I started crying! But they were happy tears! He just laughed at me! We talked for an hour and it was sooooo nice! Cant wait to see him next Friday. He also said that he may leave for Pensacola on sat or sun, so still may get to see him thru sat.

We are staying at the Residence Inn. Is anyone else?

we are at the Springhill Marriot; except my son told me today to bring one of the pets---and this hotel doesn't allow pets!!!

tsnavymom:  Residence Inn allows pets!  Maybe you can switch over there?

Ladies, for those that I messaged a BattleStations date to....move it back one night from the original date I gave.  I tried to go into my sent file and sent a message to each of you who had asked, but could have missed someone.

Could you message me that information? thanks!

candlewood suites sometimes allow pets - there is one in waukegan

I will check the candlewood suites; I had a room early on at residence but then it doesn't have an indoor pool; my son and teen grandson say they need a pool!!! Picky boys!

I got the call yesterday on the way home from work. I was supposed to go to the bank and mail some letters BUT I didn't want to stop talking to him so night deposit for the bank and the mail can go out today!  He was able to call his Dad and his girlfriend too.  He also confirmed that they may get the Hall of Fame (he said it's not set in stone but very likely-probably didn't want to jinx it).  He was having a hard talking from yelling during the fire drills. I asked him if he wanted to become a fire fighter when he grew up and he answered NO. Must not have liked all that smoke. Well ladies, we are down to single digits now on the clock. It won't be long until we can hug those Hall of Fame Sailors!!!
