Is anyone going to attend the meet and greet on Thursday night and can anyone answer if the Navy Lodge is walking distance to the RTC? We are tenatively planningon going to Flannigans for Thursday meet and greet, i hear that is a place that meet and greets started years ago.
The Navy Lodge is not in walking distance, but a great place to stay. Very clean and friendly.
Thanks for letting me know.
We are planning on attending the meet and greet on Thursday night.
It's so exciting to see all the comments on this group. I have a friend who's son is in Div 309. My son graduated from bootcamp in January 2012. It brings back memories...all the questions, not knowing what's going on, etc. Good luck to all you Navy Moms!!!! Your sons will make you proud!!!
Don't get discouraged, i know easy for me to say...but the chant here is "no new is good news" I know hearing his voice brings peace to a moms heart, hopefully you will hear something soon..don't lose faith! hugs!
Hi Lisa,
I am in the same boat with you. :( no call as of yet. Keeping my fingers crossed and my home phone forwarded to my cell phone. This way I don't have to worry that if I am out I will miss out because my SR called the home phone. I actually don't recall if my son remembers my cell no. He didn't go with a little "black book."
Go Navy!
I wanted to put this out there for those of you traveling to Chicago from the WEST. We are flying into Milwaukee and found the flights cheaper! Cheap enough to help towards a rental car. It is an hour and 5 minutes from Great Lakes!
I got my second letter today from son. This letter appeared alot different then the first one. He is doing great and loves it!
He had referenced a few times in his letter his buddy who he called "Harrison", which I assume would be his last name. If anyone has a son in Division 310 with this last name, it sounded to me as if he is going great also! BUT, still waiting on that phone call :)
