OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

finally i received two letters from my son this Saturday morning, so did his best friend Vanessa. I was finally at ease. I was so happy to here he likes it and his fine. His aunts and uncle were excited to here that he's  doing well.  also mentioned he would call this Friday coming up, can't wait.  I did write to him to let him know were working on how were going to make it for his graduation. you see we live in Brownsville, Texas and our budget is so tight we work day by day. but my husband and i are trying to see whats the cheapest way to get there,my son already said we could be with him for at least 4 days, want to spend as much time with him before he leaves to school. any suggestions.

Just received a phone call from my SR. 12/306. He said 12/305 made their calls right before div 306 made theirs.
Got my call at 6:45, Div 306.

My son is apart of Ship 12 Div 305 also.  I was just wondering if there is anyone else who is not able to make it to the graduation.  I feel absolutely horrible.  My husband has been fighting cancer for three months, so we have been trying to live off of Disability.  We live in California, and just don't have any money to buy airline tickets and pay for hotel stays, rental cars and food out.  We are already behind in things and just don't have the money.  My son says he understands, but I am sure it is disappointing for him.  He knew this going in. I feel so bad.

Thanks for your response.  I know that his fiancee and her dad are going, so he will have someone there at graduation and for dinner afterwards.  He is going to Florida after graduation.  Thanks for the prayers.  The Lord has carried us through this.  He has done amazing things.  My husband returned to work just today.  He is doing pretty good.  They say the tumor is gone.  Just waiting for the full body scan.  Just heartbroken that we can't get to graduation.

Please join the Facebook page for PIR 9/21/2012......there is alot that goes on there and if you are on FB come check it out!!!!
