Has anyone gotten a call yet?!? This suspense is killing me.........
I haven't heard anything. This waiting game is killing me too!
I'm sick to my stomach. One mom posted that when we get a call to try and ask if the entire division passed. I guess some may have watch duty. Plus, the other day my son tried to call me 4 times and we never did get to talk because a bad phone...2 EOD moms feeling the same pain. Hang in there.
I got the call. Everyone in 818 passed!!!!
Congrats, JLH! Be sure to ask if all in the division passed and post that on the main PIR page (here too). HOOYAH to your new sailor!
I got the call too. I was at my mom's mowing her grass.I gave her my phone and told her "Your only job is to answer this phone. " She brought it out and thought she had hung up on him. Its a new phone and I thought so too. After I hit one of the buttons, I realized that he probably had still been on there and I hung up on him. I was sick. But he called back, told me I had made him waste 15 minutes on the calling card and then told me they passed. I was so happy for him I forgot to ask if they all passed but he did tell me that they passed without any strikes on them. I assume that means they did everything right. He said they have the Hall of Fame but that it still could be taken away so lets keep our fingers crossed that nothing makes their RDC upset. Congratulations everyone, you now have a SAILOR!!!!
Got a great call right at the end of my haircut. My stylist is a friend and I had told her I was waiting -- so she just told me to sit and talk. He said the hardest part was really just staying awake at times. He too said that they have to still be on their toes this week to keep hall of fame. Also said that may get to call again this week or weekend if they stay in the good graces of the RDCs.
He was tired - bed tonight was 20:00. Could never get him to do that on a regular day.
My boyfriend was very happy to be able to sleep for 10 hours tonight! Along with eating donuts that one of his friends gave to him while on our call!
Yesterday was a great day. Got my call about 5pm and got to chat with my "Sailor" the whole ride home from work, even caught up with the hubby for a few when I got home! He was tired and didn't elborate about BS but said all was good. He had me "hold on" for a second while he opened his vitamin water and unwrapped a snickers! So, I knew he was fine and enjoying a much deserved reward. He's really looking forward to Captains Cup and he is in the sit ups competition. He is as excited about seeing us as we are to see him.....ya'll just say an extra prayer beause we have to see a hurricane out before our plane leaves on Wednesday. Congratulations to all the 818 Mom's, GF's and spouses of the new Navy Sailors.
