navydep.com will also fill you in on the day to day activities :)

I've asked him for specifics (like the day they are on and what they are working on) and he always includes a few. Because of the delays he wants everything dated as well. He hasn't mentioned demerits in a while. I don't know if I mentioned the funnier punishments they are getting, but someone had to stand in front of a mirror saying "I'm not stupid, you're stupid." And he's talking about the RDCs like they are people now (one runs marathons). Mostly upbeat.

Remember my son is also a little older (just turned 20 on 8/11) and went away to college for a couple of years before joining the Navy. He understands how much I worry. I had a chance to train him well before bootcamp. :)

Giggling...now THAT made me laugh out loud!

Yeah...they get "more human" (no offense RDC's :-) ) near the end of BC!

I think demerits affect flags. They just received 2 flags. They must not have that many demerits...

14 days!

OUTSTANDING!!!!! Go 287!!!

No letter from my husband this week. So  love reading from ya'll how his division's doing :)

I finally got my questionnaire back. She filled it out on August 3 and just realized she hadn't mailed it! So now it's old news by now, haha. Other than that I did not receive a regular letter like I usually do.

288 PHONE CALLS NOW!!!

:D I just got mine!!! got 20 minutes with him. so GREAT to hear his voice! He misses everyone and hates the fact there's a taco bell '30 feet away' and they can't touch it! He mentioned a few friends after I told him that we all talk on here about the general stuff going on they write about.

Wooohooooo!!!  We got our calls we got our calls!   I'm doing the happy dance.  I cried when I heard his voice.  He called and it was an 847 # and I couldn't hear anything and then the phone went dead.  he was on a defective phone and then he called back.  THANK GOD I was a wreck after that!  They are doing awesome.  They are all close, he has many close friends, I want to post their names but I know I can't.  Funny story with his peanut butter  shot and the SR he did it with.  They are rocking on the tests.  They are just basically chillin (so he says) because they are ready and have passed everything.  They sound very close and like they are a funny bunch.  He sounds so happy!!!

Rec'd  my phone call and a letter today from my SR.. Sounds great, missing home and ready for graduation.....

14 more days cannot come soon enough for me!

Terri M I am so glad to hear that you got your call! I answered the phone in a really small voice,. I said, "is this a good call?" To my relief she said yes!
