I got my first written letter from my daughter today.    I am at work and my son called me to say one had come.    Can you believe this?   He opened it and read it.   I told him not to read it to me, so that I could read it my own eyes!    Now I can't wait to get off work and go home and read the letter.    And he won't admit to anyone that he misses his sister, but actions speak louder than words.   :)    The letter was addressed to me for heaven's sake.   lol    Looking forward to PIR!

So excited for you!!

I have been on cloud 9 all day. I got my first letter from my son. His spirits are high and he's doing well. Yeah!!!!!
Yeah!!! I'm so happy for you

I hope I get a letter today. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I got a letter from my husband this morning! It was about five lines long but who cares, it was something. I'll share some of it with those of you who are still waiting on your letters. He says "6 guys here are like from 25 to 29 and we are like the dads of the compartment (he is 26). The young guys are kind of hard headed that's all I'm saying about that. The food is pretty good...I miss my boy (2 year old son) a whole lot. But boot camp is O.K. and hard and I lead everyone in prayer before we go to sleep so some people call me the "Rev".

So ladies, ask your SR's if they know the Rev, and that is my husband. ;) I hope you all get letters soon!

which div is your husband in?

LOL! My boyfriend said the SAME thing! he's 26, also. He said 316 keeps getting IT because they young ones dont know how to listen lol.He also said a lot of the young kids come up and ask him questions and want to talk to him a lot and didn't know if it was because he was older or because he's funny! Ill be sure to ask aout "The Rev" in the next letter! Everyone's been calling my SR "Versace" lol...i guess they cant say his real last name "Vasaitis".

Stay strong! We're half way there!

Hey there,

I asked My SR, Nick Vasaitis about him and sure enough, he knows your husband, the Rev! too funny! We'll have to meet at graduation! Hope yours is doing well, I know mine is homesick! 13 days left!

Did he mention getting a bunch of mail from kids. His name was on a list of SRs who wanted to get mail. So I had middle school students write over 200 letters to 26 SRs from div 315/316. They were so cute. Let me know if he received his because my daughter and I wrote out the envelopes and I remember writing out Sr SR VASAITIS alot. I hope we can meet. My SR is Cloe. One of the youngest ones there. He turns 18 in Oct. he is in div 315
Hey there
he hasn't mentioned receiving letters from your students, but what a great thing for you to do!! I'm the only one who has been writing him from home so I know he's very homesick so that may be why he put his name on the list...or as usual, he got confused about something and signed up! Lol it's very likely for him to have done that! I did ask him in a letter if he knew people in his division who weren't getting mail but never got a reply. I blame sleep deprivation! Lol either way, on his behalf we thank you for all you're hard work and support!! Good luck to Cloe!! See you in 12 days!!

I asked my husband if he knew of anyone too but he didn't answer. He's not too much into writing, my husband!
