We received 2 letters yesterday and they sounded much better.  He said many things that we were hoping he'd realize about himself for years....I am so proud of him and so happy that he is having this experience.  He also mentioned he had a great score on his test!  I wrote him that this will give him opportunities, so hopefully he will take full advantage of these.  Whatever happens, I am so happy today, sniff sniff :) I hope all of you are having a great day!

Still no letters from my SR this week...Div 300....anyone in 300 get letters this week? He said everything was going good, passed all his tests, etc. and liked bootcamp...now I'm concerned since mail day is suppose to be sunday and nothing yet...

I rec'd a letter on Wednesday (div 300). I figured that was pretty good delivery if it was shipped on Monday (or unless it was from a week prior).  I wish that there was a date on the letter, but I'm just so thrilled to get a letter.I do know that when I spoke with him on the phone on Monday, he had mentioned that they had recently rec'd a flag, and I believe it was an academic flag so their division was happy with that.

Can you believe it......4 weeks from today and we'll be in Chicago watching them graduate!!

I hope you get letters very soon. ((hugs))

Well I have yet to receive a letter. Maybe Monday.....but I just got a phone call!!! Yeah! It was a short one but he said they have 4 flags now and everyone is doing well. Passed all his tests and inspections and another PFA. He said next week he has another test and it's the last big one before battlestations. He still likes boot camp and misses and loves everyone very much. Looking forward to PIR!

Dee

Hi Dee, My son Robert (Robey) is Ship 14 Div 299 :)

My husband is in this DIV as well!

Its Saturday and our son Andrew called! So awesome, such an unexpected surprise to hear from him! He says that his :hell week" went ok and the division is moving right along! He sounded good, very tired, but overall he sounded good! He says they are now gearing up for the Captains cup, they are promised a free day - the whole 9, internet access and phone calls - if they win! Keep your fingers crossed ladies! Have any of you other ladies gotten a call? I swear, I dont know if the calls make it easier to bear or harder - I find myself listening for the things he "doesnt" say and trying so hard to get in all the questions and "I love you's" I can before the phone call ends. Hope you ladies all had the same happy surprise this Saturday!

Glad to hear you heard from your sons.  I missed another call today.  :(  He sounded good and said they needed to get a 4.7 on a test and got a 4.8.

I can't believe I missed another call but happy to hear that it sounds like their division is doing well.

My son called his GF on Saturday but told her not to tell mom! ha ha. I am just glad he called and she answered! He said his division was to score a 5.0 on a test and they did a 5.8 so they earned a phone call. He said they start a new training today - shooting!  He sounded really good she said and said to tell me he might be able to call again in week 6.  He said he was happy to only have three weeks left  - although i have four weeks left to see him, i am going to assume the last week is prepartion for graduation?? At any rate, looking forward to hopefully receive more letters on Wednes, which is the day i get letters and continue to count down the days for PIR!

Yay that is great news. Last week I rec'd a letter on Tuesday so am hoping I might get another today.  So looking forward to graduation.
