Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 317 & 318. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.
Every single question asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

So excited got a letter from my SR today (Ship 14 Div 318)!!! Waiting for hubby to get home from work so we can open it together. Time is going so SLOW!!!
Enjoy!
WOW...Congratulations and Happy Birthday to him!
I got 3 letters today as well...The first one made me cry as well and she was wondering why I had not wrote her..Little did she know i have wrote her everyday since she left. The second letter was better and by the last one she was much better she said she had received some letters and pictures and that it made her laugh after a hard day and to keep them coming. She also told me she is the Head laundry lady..lol and its alot of work collecting and washing clothes for 93 girls. She said she started her first day of actual training on August 16 that was her 1 of 1. She also told me that she had got sick so when I saw the pictures from the ceremony and her on the bed I now know my baby was sick. She said ohh and mom I learned how to swallow pills..she couldnt swallow them before i had to crush them for her but since she is allergic Penicillin she has to take them twice a day for 30 days. wow.. Okay so since her day 1 did not start until the 16th from Aug 6-15 were those just dead days?
its so funny but my daughter is in the same div..now i no they messed up somewhere cause we all havent gotten a call yet and my daughter also told me she too was sick...because someone got sick and made everyone ill....your daughter is sick as well right? on the 21st she told me they are extracting 4 of her wisdom teeth at once....i think that is crazy one tooth alone being pulled is painful but all 4...my poor baby.i hope they give her time to rest cause that will end up very painful....and i wrote my daughter several letters and she just recieved one....i think that must be some part of punishment...mail delay cause u too been writting and i see there was a delay w her mail . cant waite to talk to her? is your daughter takin swimming classes ? my daughter said she has it twice a day and a few other girlzs as well...
Happy Saturday everyone!!; 48 days to go!! I finally got a letter (4 pages!) from my son on Thursday also, and he is so upbeat and funny! He says he finds little things to look forward to each day, like breakfast, lunch, dinner, shower and sleep, but especially mail time!! He also said it helps to not think about what day it is. Sundays are the best, and he was excited because they will be getting ice cream on Sundays! He had to buy himself a watch since he is an RPOC (?) and is responsible for keeping the division on schedule; he said this is a stressful job, but he thinks he has gotten through the toughest part...we shall seee! He said they can write letters all week, but can only send on Sundays, so I will be waiting every Wed/thurs! He is apparently eating very well; he ate more for breakfast than I eat in a week! I have read the letter a few hundred times already...SO PROUD!! :)
Hi, I accepted your friend request, nice to meet you! I received a letter from my SR last Wednesday and he is doing good! I'm pretty sure a letter is on its way to you this week, hang in there!
Just hang in there, I'm sure it won't be long. Just keep sending cards and letters to your SR. I hear it helps alot to receive mail. I printed off some pics on pieces of paper to use as stationery on a suggestion I saw on the site. that way they have pics too!
