Good morning Ladies! How is everyone today? I'm good.... trying to stay busy around here so i dont have as much time to think. I believe once the letter comes, and i have an address to mail these letters to and i can plan for out trip i will feel better. I had a small breakdown yesterday because my oldest sons friend spilt a drink on my computer, normaly i would be fine but it sent me into tears! Computer is fine now so I am ok... I do think that my other 2 sons think i am loosing it but i promise Im not haha!! Hope everyone has a great day. Off to work and errands and then to the gym!!!

Good morning ladies.  My daughter Jas also left for boot camp on 8/21.  Finding this site and reading all your comments has been very helpful, specially yesterday was her birthday.  I also thought I was going crazy because I would start crying just out of nowhere.  We have four kids and Jas is second to the oldest.  Our oldest daughter has a learning disability, so Jas is the first one to leave home.  I haven't received a box or a letter, all I got was the very quick phone call that night to let us know she's in boot camp.  I am thankful for this site and to all of you for sharing your emotions, at least I can find comfort knowing I'm not alone.

Hi Gie! Welcome!! I hope you get your daughters box today! It will
Come FedEx too just incase you didn't know.we are here for you :)

My son Mitch also started on the 21st..I'm still a mess!..It really is alot harder than I thought it would be but we did get a surprise call from him on saturday!! Is was great to hear his voice! He sounded good and he likes the food! lol ..He said they got a call for good behavior..Can't wait till the next call..Did you get a address yet?

No addresses yet Robyn. Didn't get a call either. :( its Defiently alot harder than I imagined it would be. Glad I found this group of ladies. Welcome!!

Hi welcome! Thats awesome you got to talk to your son!! As of today no address for me I did get his box the other day.

that is great u got a call. i have yet to receive my letter n no phone call either.

I've been waiting for some kind of contact from my daughter, so as soon as I heard the Fedex truck, i met her outside to get my daughter's box.  It was a mix emotion opening her box and it didn't matter if it was just her clothes, shoes and bag, I felt in some way I had some contact.  Yesterday for her birthday, I felt like a stalker, going in her facebook wall, reading all the birthday greetings from families and friends and looking at all her pictures.  I wish I could just talk to her...still no letter, but I talked to her recruiter and he said they're not in the office today but he should be able to get for me tomorrow.  Take care everyone...have a nice day.

I'm so glad you got her box!! There's alot of kids that will have a birthday while they are there. Brandon's is in Sept. One mom was joking and said maybe they will have a big party for them all....haha. Well I hope she had a good day yesterday.I just hate not being able to talk to them on their special day :( And I know its hard on them too..

i no that has to be hard.happy birthday to ur girl..

Hello All,  I just got the letter followed by the box...and the date in Kevin's letter is Oct 12th. Im with you Kathie...I had figured out Oct 19th! The 12th includes last week as one of the eight weeks...I was told that wasn't the case. Oh well...now we can mail letters and make plans! Thanks for all your messages of support...you all rock!  : )
