OMG - I just got the call - we had nine minutes to talk. This was the first time she's called me, other than the "I arrived" call. She is doing well and she did mention one of her other friends, name is Cassidy. They are doing okay. I hope more of you are getting calls.
I Just got off the phone with my son!!! Hip Hip Hurray!!! He's doing great! he is having fun. So great to hear that the dreams is coming true! Yeah! Cloud nine. Ladies stay close to your phone the calls are coming in!
I wonder if he is the one who helped my daughter use her calling card. I think she was really upset that someone had to show her how to use it. Then she calmed down. ;)
I got a call too, great to here that he is doing well!!
I don't understand why I didn't get a call today. This is so painful, to look forward all day and not get it.
Good morning, folks.... My son, Morgan is in Div315. I missed Morgan's call to me at work, which really bummed him out, but at least he got call home and talk to his Dad and brother. My boss is really understanding and told me to make sure I keep my cell phone with me from now on to catch his call. Love having a supportive boss. He's been homesick, frustrated with the argumentative types in the div, and hurting since he has a stress fracture in his leg, so prayers for him to keep up the determination to tough it out and make to PIR are super appreciated. I haven't made flight arrangements quite yet, since we still working out budgetwise how many of us can make it up there, but if it's just me, I can stay at my aunt's. I'll have to ask him if he's met Rev....but he mentioned there isn't much time for them to socialize, and he's not the socializing type usually. Will be back online after work...am printing my second letter to him and mailing it from work this morning. Blessed Be.
I just hoped he passed everytthing, and gets to call me soon. We're in Baton Rouge, and have a hurricane bearing down on us. The likelyhood that he'll be able to reach me after land fall are greatly diminished. I hope that maybe he was just on watch yesterday, and can call today. I'm so glad for all of you that did get calls. I pray that mine will come soon...
I have still not heard a word from our SR. Absolutely nothing. No letter, nothing. I sleep with my phone. I can't help but wonder why. She has not even sent a letter to any of her friends. I pray just about all of the time to hear from her. Blakes mom, I feel your pain. Pray you are riding the storm out safely.
I would love the help out. Please send me some in a private message. Thank you!
I also wonder if we simply address our envelopes to "Seaman Recruit" with no name and the ship and division, will they distribute them? (sort of along the same lines during the holidays when stockings are made up and hundreds of them are sent, only in this case we don't need to send hundreds?)
