glad u got ur letter Debbie happy writing. i can't wait to get mine. if its the 12th that's fine with me..lol

How funny, I assumed Oct 19th as well...that's alright, the 12th is sooner. Way to go, Debbie, glad you got the letter! Us crazy moms, waiting for "THE CALL", then "THE BOX" and then "THE LETTER". If our kids only knew...!  I called my son's recruiter, he hasn't heard anything about anything, he said he'd look to see if Jacob's address is available. Haven't heard form the recruiter either. I've done my son's laundry, haven't picked up his room yet...I really am excited for a phone call some time, my cell phone is glued to my hip!

Isn't that the truth?! I don't go anywhere without my cell...just in case! I'm tackling his room next week; I'm on vacation to get my 15 yr old off to a good start first week of school!

the sooner the better, right?! : )

Hi ladies! This has been a hard day, feels like Jacob has been gone for so long. I miss that kid so much, I miss his friends just walking in the house hollering "...hi mom!..."  Got the BOX last week, mail already came today and was rather disappointed to find nothing but catalogs and an application for a credit card. Soon though, I'm being patient. Im so excited some of you already got a call or the form letter, that is so good...don't you wonder what they are doing right now??

Hi Ellen! Your mailbox sounds like mine!! lol..I went from being so excited going to the mailbox to being bummed when there was nothing :(   I wonder all the time what they are doing? Wonder if they pulled his wisdom teeth or if he is sleeping well..haha. Deep down I 'm sure he is fine..He was so excited about boot camp and was even doing the Seals workout program before he left so I know he can handle it..but I'm a mom and gonna worry. Wow I too thought the 19th or even 26th but I will gladly take the 12th!! Have a good night and fingers crossed for good news tomorrow!

I'm sure the the time will pass quickly! It's nice to have all this info and support to make it easier, welcome!!

Any interesting mail today? Not at my house. Soon, it will be soon. A guy at my office today, he's retired navy, after I told him a got Jacob's box last week asked if I smelled the clothes in the box...he laughed and laughed when I told him that I DID smell his shirt and I DID hold onto it for a while before putting it in the laundry basket. I'll bet his mom did the same 20+ years ago...or maybe not!

My son started Aug 21st also. Left out of Denver. I just got his clothes today but no letter yet. His name is Craig. He's going in as an AO
