Yes, I hope they do!
my son had his wisdom teeth pulled on monday.
He called me thursday night. I miss him alot. only 30 days till PIR!!!
Thanks for sharing, Jolene! @Cherrish slade, I'm so sorry you missed the call! I hope his letters arrive, soon! I'm looking forward to this week because I'm almost positive you all will be getting more letters and then we can all know more about what's going on! @Proudnavymama... I hope you get your call!!! (I hope all of you get your calls!) As much as I would LOVE to get a call, I'm sure he'll call his girlfriend or mom before me! I completely understand, too! I was young, once! Have a great week, everyone!
(also, the "Welcome to the discussion group" division numbers are wrong! It keeps making me paranoid when I read it that I'm at the wrong board!)
I wish someone would fix it...I have worried about it this whole time, too!
I ma still waiting for a call. it has been well over three weeks now. I just want to hear his voice. I know it is boot camp but I really wish he could call. Ship 13 div 311. Anyone hear from your loved one yet this week?
sailormama 2012, is your son in the same ship/div? I am so glad that you received a call!
Laurasu87,
yep. My son is in Ship 13 Div 311. He called last thursday (8-23). But He said they were supposed to get an hour to call, but the DIV had been trouble so they got 10min.
I sent My Son a phone card & stamps the right after I got the address. We have sent pictures too.
He sounded alittle homesick, and He had his wisdom teeth out on the monday, how brutal.
I can't wait to see him...... 29 days.
Hang in there! If they are on their 4th week he is doing great or at least much better than the first few weeks.
When I was in the Marines it was a 13 week boot camp. The first 3-4 weeks was a big time breakdown and bunch of mind games because you could do nothing right (drill instructors have a pretty good time messing with people). At the halfway point we really got into a routine and the last few weeks was pretty cool when we got everything together as a unit. There is nothing quite like marching as a single unit when it is done right and after the initial breakdown physically, the new strength, muscle, and physical fitness starts to feel good.
Blessings
Im trying to hang in there and stay strong. Im just missing him bad and hoping that I hear something soon. His recruiter did tell me that the first 1/2 was the worst so I am taking it as a good sign that he seems to be still doing well. Hopefully I will get a call or a letter today. Got my phone with me at all times, lol....please let me know if anyone hear anything :)
Since the last two Wednesdays we got a letter, I expected one today. Now, I just want to cry. Maybe there will be a letter tomorrow...
