For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Unfortunately I didn't get the call last night :( Her father and I are divorced, so I think she didn't want to show favs and just sent us both a text "made it to bootcamp. talk to you in 3 weeks".

Mine left on Sept 4th from Buffalo, NY. Received the clothes and phone on Friday (7th). Come on form letter......
My daughter left on 9/4/12. I got her box last week, but no form letter yet with address.
my son also left on the 4th we got his form letter about 4/5 days after his box came hope this helps somewhat
you might want to wait on sending anything my son got there on sept 4th his recruiter called us with matthews address and boy am i glad i waited he gave us the wrong address he had the right ship # and div but not the right address our letter came 5 days after his box came hope the same thing didnt happen to anyone else
just a small heads up my sons recuiter called us with an address and thank goodness i waited when our form letter came it had a different address then what the recuiter gave our letter was posted marked nov 10 and my son arrived at great lakes on the 4th granted we may have gotten ours quicker then some we only live 3 hours from chicago so the mail didnt have to travel very far hope this helps some
