Me and my sailor went on and tied the knot a few days ago. Im very happy. Thanks for all of your advice. It really helped me alot. We are still waiting to get official wedding license from the SD courthouse. After that i guess i could get the ball rolling with all the paperwork and stuff. I cant get my id until i move down there because i will not be able to get back dwn there until dec. Any advice on looking for off base apartments would be really helpful right now. I miss my hubby sooooo much already. Hopefully he wiill be able to come see me and his family/friends in oct. This is not right for us newlyweds to be apart so soon ! Lol.

Congratulations!!! I live in San Diego, off base. We live in La Mirage apartments in Mission Valley.... We LOVE them! The rent is under BAH and even though you have to pay separately for water, gas & electric, it's still under BAH. Mission Valley is very central and most importantly I feel very safe even when my husband is gone! Please feel free to message me if you have any questions!

congratulations!!!

that is so awesome.  did u take any pix?  please post if u did.

Congratulations! My husband and I did a quick courthouse run while he was in A school and got all the paperwork taken care of while I was down there those couple of days. We had a ceremony when he came home and now he is gone for a while! Since May, I have seen him about 3 weeks total.

Best wishes with you two. We are newly weds too and he's in a different time zone. :/ But Homecoming will be oh so sweet! One thing that my hubs stressed is to make sure you have  a military clause in any lease you sign. Your husband's orders might change and you have to move quickly. Protect yourself! Keep copies of everything! and memorize his SSN.

congrats =) soo exciting! I know what you mean about being apart as newlyweds lol it sucks! I hope all goes well with you and your hubby =) so excited mines will be home tomorrow from a school on leave!! I love SD that was our little get away spot we're about a hour in a half from there you'll def love it!

I agree La Mirage is a great place I have a few friends that live there and love it, and Mission Valley is a good area! :) Congrads :)
