My son left for Boot Camp Aug.27th. from Oklahoma. I was wondering if there was anyone else out there who had a son/daughter who left on this date?

lemonelephant,

Thank you for the information. I appreciate it!

Our son left Monday morning for San Jose and flew out Tuesday afternoon to Great Lakes.

Becky, thank you for the reply. I received the box yesterday. Now, waiting on a letter. The waiting is harder than I thought it would be.

We haven't received "the box" yet. Our 10 year old intercepted the 15 second phone call home so I missed speaking to my son.:( Hoping the official letter will come soon.

Becky,  I finally received my form letter today. His PIR date is Oct. 19. I hope you have received yours also.

We received the box today but no letter yet. I'm hoping it will show up in the next few days.

My son is on ship 14 div 344.I'm curious to see if they are on the same ship. Hope you receive your letter soon!

Me too! I'll keep ya posted.

Hello Becky, just wondering if you ever received your form letter?

Yep, got it yesterday! Today I'm asking friends/family to send Trent letters of encouragement to keep him going. My 10 yr old and myself wrote letters last night in hopes that he will receive them next weekend. It's also a great way for our 10 yr old to practice his writing. ;)

Forgot to mention his PIR date is Oct. 26th and his ship number is 12/Div. 347.

Hi Linda, we received our letter today and his PIR date is 10/26. His ship is 12 div 347.
