I still don't have much information. She made her 1 phone call letting me know I would receive her box and a letter in the mail but I really don't know much more than that. Any information someone can share? I just became a member of Navymoms and will search around for more boot camp details. I'm overwhelmed and overjoyed at the same time.

Thanks so much for the information and the links. This was very helpful and put my mind at ease. I'm waiting for the letter with the detailed info so that I can join a discussion with my daughter's Ship/Div. Seems like that's the best approach. Thanks again I really appreciate the info.

My son left August 27th! Just got his letter form today with his PIR date and ship/div! Now its time for travel plans! I am a part of a Navy Mom group on facebook!! The group has helped answer a lot of my questions and concerns! It is a closed group so you dont have to worry about the PUBLIC reading what you post! VERY supportive group of ladies!

Thanks for the link! Going to visit it now. And yes the group follows OPSEC and PERSEC rules.

My daughter left on 29th also from Phoenix. I got the call also. Theres some good boot camp videos on youtube i just watched.

My daughter left from St. Louis MO. I watched the videos also and they were very helpful. Now I'm waiting on the letter and the box. So excited
I just watched the videos also and they put my mind at ease. I'm excited and waiting on the letter now.

My son also left on August 29th.  We received the call and he also said he would get to call home in three weeks. Our recruiter let us know we could call him next week Wednesday to get the address before we get the letter. Where did your daughter leave from?

My daughter left from St. Louis MO. I got the phone call now just waiting for the box and the letter to make travel plans and start writing.

My fiance left August 29th, I got a phone call on the 29th at 7:15 letting me know he made it to Great Lakes. We are from the suburbs of Chicago, so I am about 30 minutes from Great Lakes. We got "the box" on Thursday. Hoping to get the form letting sometime this week with his address so I can finally mail out the letters I have written.
