Congratulations Jmaries_Mom92. Bootcamp was the hardest part for me!! My son is now in CA and loves Air Traffic Control. He works with Navy personnel and civilians so he has made quite a few friends. He is also involved in a lot of the sports out there. Tell him to study and do the volunteer work in Pensacola. Hope he is enjoys he "short" stay in Pensacola. When my son was able to leave the base there is so much to see. It gets easier now that you can talk to him, text and skype!! I still make sure my son texts me everyday even if its to say Hi!! :) Good Luck
thank you towermom. I think my son is more anxious then anything to get started with his classes right now. He is doing a lot of watches...back to back.
Jmaries Mom ~ My son just arrived in Pensacola for Air Traffic Control School on 9/2/12. He graduated 8/31/12. He doesn't know when his school will start but someone told him he may have a 2 month delay so he was a little discouraged about being there 6 months. I don't think he knows any other AC's from his PIR group yet. Has your son heard anything? He's 3 weeks ahead of my son.
Hi Korysmom, I sent you a personal email on here. I just talked to my son last night, and he still has no clue when he will start classes. I am hoping he can look my son up and I was just telling him last night about you contacting me. He said if he was in AC (air traffic control) school, then he will more than likely be in the same barracks. He has been doing a lot of watches along with their duty stations. hope to hear from ya soon.

Hi Jmarie ~ I must have deleted your message on accident but I told my son to try and find your son! Just talked with my son and he just finished some sort of watch test and he's still waiting for the medical part. Still no word on when AC classes will begin. Any start date for your son? I messaged you as well the other day as I'm anxious for their classes to begin! Hope to hear from you as well.
