GMom - praying for an easy time for your family. Safe travels!

Good morning Ladies,

Hope everyone is having a blessed Sunday!  Started packing this morning for our trip to GL.  This week will be the slowest one in history.  Cannot wait until we see our Sailors on Friday.  I get goosebumps just thinking about them in their uniforms and looking so sharp.

Til Friday,

Us SR parents/families in Florida/Gulf Coast praying hard Isacc does something quick, makes plans iffy on getting to Great Lakes for the graduation on Friday...especially living in the Panhandle.  At this point I just hope it comes on through Tuesday and we can still get a flight out on Thursday!!  5 more days, seems like it has been forever.  I also agree they will look very sharp and I cannot wait for all of us  to see our children,  proud moment..bring your tissues!!  God Bless and have a safe trip to the Great Lakes!

Our prayers to all the SR families that you will weather the storm with little to no damage and you will be able to meet your sailor on Friday as scheduled. It will be a slow week but what an exciting day Friday will be! I'm sure we will be "talking" all this week just in case we don"t, everyone have a safe trip to GL.

Praying for you!  Hope you are safe during Isaac and have no problems getting to PIR!!  Can't wait to see our sailors!

I cannot believe the day, hour, minute ticker says it's 3 days 15 hours...Can't wait.  I hope everyone has safe travels on your way to and from Chicago.

Phone calls today!! He said they may also get one tomorrow, keep your phones close just in case!

Good morning Ladies,

I was reading on a FB page regarding the meet and greets to bring your ribbons and banners for your SR's division.  Where and how do you get these things?

They may have been talking about the ribbons that Lala makes. I wanted to order them but I kept forgetting and now its too late. My son's girlfriend and I are going to try to make ribbons on the way over.( I'm sure they won't look as good as Lala's). The ribbon she makes for the spec ops is black with gold accents and letters. You can see them on uniquememorymakers.com if you wanted to try to make something of your own.

I just find out about this web site and wish that I would have known about it sooner.  It was so nice to read all the posts and see how supportive everyone is! Is anyone going to the meet and greets at Sarge's or Flanagan's?  Just curious in case we get in town early enough to attend.  I am looking forward to meeting all these great mothers! Thanks for all the information and encouragement.  Hope I can sleep tonight! Safe travels to all

Good Morning Marilyn,

Glad you found us, sorry you didn't find us sooner. I see you are from Ohio also. What rate is your sailor? We have quite a few rescue swimmer moms on here as well as some divers, EOD, and a few others but I can't remember what rate their sons are. I hope to go to Sarge's meet and greet but I don't know if we will get into town soon enough. Have a safe trip.

Back home after spending a few wonderful days with my son.  Hated that it ended so quickly, but I am so proud and happy to have spent time with him no matter how short it was.   Ladies, I hope everyone made it back home safely and I'm sure everyone has big smiles on your faces:)    Hooyah!
