Heya Girls, Finally got to speak with my SR, being he is the div yeoman he knows all your guys, says its a good group and they are all doing well, getting along and working hard. He says a couple were DC medically out of the Navy the first week, in fact he was the Div leader and the back up yeoman but the head yeoman went home medically DC in the 2nd week and since my SR knew the job they transfered him to that position. He said that they are getting ready for the battle stations test, as a group they have all passed every thing so far. He is excited we are coming and says most of the guys have someone coming. He is going to call again next week on friday and he will send me a letter and let me know a better idea of time for his call. Says things are getting more relaxed and they have a bit more free time. He is unsure of how much time they will have after PIR but will find out and let me know. He did state that after A school they have a week to 10 days off and he will be coming home to visit then. Anyway just wanted to let you know, our Div 302 is doing well and we are almost at the end. We will not make it to a meet and greet as the time difference will make us in about 10pm but will hope to meet you gals at the PIR. Chat soon!

This is great and welcome news Jennifer!

My phone call with my SR on Friday afternoon was great - but I thought of so many more questions that I didn't ask after the call ended.  Mine had a muscle injury that is now better, but I wanted to confirm that he did pass his PFA.

Does the job of Yeoman get rotated at all?  I was thinking that Brandon (my SR's bunkmate) was Yeoman as some point.

My time at the M&G may also be short just because of the four guys in my group who might have another preference for that evening :).

If you are on FB, there is a very active group for our PIR, so please join that group if you haven't already.

Counting the days now!

Susan

Suwigg my SR's bunkmate is "a" Brandon...are you by chance from KY?

No, the Brandon that is my SR's bunkmate is from California.

My Brandon is from California too!  but he's in ship 11/div 301!

Lots of Brandons!

Ok.  So i have heard from my step-son several times.  He has told me the names of his friends but of course I cannot say them here as he shared their last names.  What I will say is he is doing great.  He is the watch-log supervisor, which he say is very legal and important.  He is also one of the division leaders.  It seems he is flourishing in the navy.  He reports he has passed a test for advancement and hopes to graduate with two stripes on his sleeve.  Yea.  I am so proud and excited to see him soon.

The original yeoman accordinmg to nick was DC for medical reasons and so nick was the back up and then became the main yeoman and left the div leader position. Someone else was put into that and now Nick just does the yeoman paperwork etc.

Nick says he is so busy he can hardly get it all done. He did say he has passed all his tests and PF tests so I will have to ask him about any testing for xtra stripes.

I am of course anxious to see him. I did not ask who his bunk mate is and he did not state, I will ask. So guys only a couple weeks left to go. Looking forward to seeing him and hopefully you girls take care!

how do i get to facebook?

You probably need to have a Facebook account.  If you don't, go to www.facebook.com and sign up.

Then you will look for the PIR group page:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/PIR.9.21.2012/

That is a private group, so you click on join and will then be approved.  There is a lot of good info there.

Wonderful Jenideer to know are kids are well.  My son said they are all doing well and he is trying to stay motivated. He likes the food!! seems happy and thank goodness we are nearly there.  Can't wait to see him please G-d and all your young men and women graduate.  My son said some had left for medical reasons.  For those who don't hear so frequently No news is good news!! We know they will be fine.  We should all be very proud even though we miss them tons and it aches sometimes

Best Wishes

Ruth
