I have a SAILOR! I am soo proud of my daughter! I can't wait to see her!

Congrats I got the call too! It is so exciting!!

He called us this evening!  He will not leave for A school in MS on Sunday - it's very, very, very early Saturday morning.  So, we'll have only a few hours with him on Friday after graduation.  We are flying to Chicago tomorrow!!!  And, we do not plan to attend any meet and greets.  While I didn't get a ribbon, I will look for the ladies wearing ribbons!

Hi Kristine, not everyone has a ribbon. But they probably have some sort of gimmick, such as a gold purse, etc. I am not wearing my ribbon until PIR. I will be wearing 288 div tshirt, and am very approachable (i think, haha). I am not shy will approach others :). Also, I believe it's too late to get a ribbon in time for tomorrow and Friday.
Good morning all of you proud moms! I'm sure most of you are getting ready to leave by now. I just wanted to wish you all a safe journey!

Thanks for all your support happyfeet!

I was so glad to meet you all! Glad graduation has finally come and gone! Just wish my husband had stopped arguing with my about his cell phone, he would have had it when he'd gotten on his plane at 0630 Sunday morning! Oh well, i'll overnight it..

Was so glad to see him graduate! Spend Friday as well as Saturday with him, though he had to leave for watch at 3pm on Saturday.  Was up and out for his flight, the WONDERFUL Sarge took me to Midway at midnight and waited till his bus arrived before leaving me! So I got to spend that last bit of extra time with him. Sadly it seems I got that Sailor Crud they got in boot camp, can't wait to breath in some Texas air!

He was able to call me from a payphone in his barracks, thanks to you wonderful moms who sent extra stamps and calling cards his way! As SOON as I get his address i'll be sending down his phone w/charger, and other necessities.

Ok minds a blank as I wait in the USO for my 8pm plane. I just tried to upload pics from my camera but no luck, it'll have to wait till I get home. So ya'll will get mine hopefully tuesday afternoon at latest :)

Anyone is Div 287 have an SR that is friends with a Thompson?  I met a great couple(well a few) and we bumped into eachother everywhere we went.  I sat with them  at PIR and shopped with them at NEX.  Awesome couple from Pennsylvania.  My son told me the first name but apparently he has the memory like I do but I guess he really just remembers last names.  The dad of the SR suggested the mom and I be friends of facebook and we agreed and then just left w/out getting eachothers names.....lol.  I know she is not on Navy Moms but I thought if any of your SRs know him and could give me a heads up on a first name, that would be great.  Had such a great time!! :)  Slept all of Saturday away since he left at 6 Saturday morning but arrived at airport at 4am.  Luckily we got a couple of hours of sleep at USO before driving back home.

I am really sorry...but last names of Sailors are not allowed on the site at any time...not just for BC :-)...You can copy and repost with the last name deleted (or I can do it for you!) and then please delete the original.

Finally made it home. I'm super exhausted from this past week., and really glad it's over. NEVER thought I would say that. I was soo excited as my Sailor shipped out to Pensacola on Sunday morning instead of Friday night!!!

I have to go through my pics and videos but having a hard time figuring some things out so, Angie has a ton of pictures of EVERBODY so that should suffice for now.

I am so glad to have met everyone and hope we stay friends. This site, and the people on it have been such a pleasure. I just want to say thank you for your support and friendship :)
