Hey HeatherT,

Unfortunately I'm not from the South Carolina, Charleston, Florence, or Columbia areas. But I am a future sailor who ships to boot on Sept. 18 and I'm going for MA as I saw your son was. Who knows maybe we'll bump into each other.

My Son leaves on 9/18/12..but he is leaving from NJ ...

My son leaves for BC on September 18th as well but will be coming for Las Vegas, NV.  It will be nice to see if maybe they will get in the same division.  My son is going in as an E-3, doing MA (Master at Arms). He is 18 1/2 years old. Keep in touch.  Maybe we can meet at PIR.

Joshuasmom... Funny thing j is also going in as an e-3 for MA!! ;) wow!!! We are most assuredly going to have to keep in touch sounds like our boys have a lot in common!!! I look forward to speaking with you lots as we start this wonderful journey together with our boys. And we will defiantly have to meet at PIR!!

HeatherT,

How is your son holding up?  I think my son is starting to realize that his life is changing soon and is coming out in his behavior to me.

Sharron - aka: joshuasmom

He seems to be ok. It is finally getting real for him. He said he will
Continue working up until the weeken before he leaves so he stays int he routine of getting up. Yesterday his girlfriend finally got him to consent to a going away party. Nothin big and has to be done his way!! ;) lol... At this point anything he wants. Says he cutting his hair etc in the next week too. I told him about your son and he is looking forward to meeting him. Hopefully they will become good friends. Hope to get to meet you soon!

11 more days and counting.  It is gonna fly by.  Hope all is going well. My son is still not doing much around the house but wanting money and to take my car.  I am gonna miss him tons but at this point almost too excited that he is gonna be gone and the agurments will stop.  Oh what to do.  I do keep busy with the USO.
