You're so lucky SeeShell! I didn't get a letter on Thursday, but I'm hoping for one today. His letters (I've only received 2 so far) have been short and haven't mentioned any names. He says he irons about 30 minutes a night and he feels like he's on an episode of Lost with so many rules and responsibilities.
I can't wait to get home tonight and check the mail.
I am so disappointed...didn't get any letters from my son this week! Wonder if they were allowed to write durning Hell Week? Did anyone else in Div 311 hear from their SR?
I know everyone says no news is good news, but my son says that while their division is starting to work together, there are still some people who need to get their acts together. Hope they aren't all being punished for others mistakes!
I got a letter today from my son he is in division 312 the letter was dated 9/2 he sounds alot better than he did in his first letter thank goodness. Cant wait to see him at graduation. No phone call yet only a few letters but that is better than nothing.
Does anyone know about what day we should get the "Im a Sailor" phone call?
I got a letter from my son today. He has taken his PFA 2 times and can't seem to pass. He did 73 sit ups and 65 push ups but failed the run by 50 seconds :(. He was sick for a while and could not PT, just march so I hope he can strengthen up and pass. The RDC's will run with them and/or put them with a faster group to push them so they can pass. He says he doesn't think he will get set back (I hope not I have my plane ticket). The "I'm a Sailor" call should come on the 21st. They start BS21 the night before at 20:30 and go for 12 hours. After the capping ceremony in the morning they get to make the call. I just need him to pass the PFA!
Im sure he will be able to pass dont worry. My son failed his running the first time and i got a letter today also saying he passed with a minute left. I hope he is feeling better. Right now im sure all of them are doing more than they ever thought they could do. We will all be at the 9/28 graduation...
