Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 319 & 320. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi Eveyone - My son is in Ship 11 DIV 319. I got his call last week and was so surprised I didn't know what to say, other than "we love you, are proud of you and everyone asks about you". I had pre-condition myself that "no news-is good news", so that if we didn't get one I wouldn't be too upset. I know that if something unfortunate happened, I'd definetly get a call.

On the call he said a lot of them were still sick w the crud, but that it (the crud and BC) was getting better. I know that if they are on watch they aren't able to make calls with everyone else.  So for those moms/dad's out there who wants more news: My son has told me they have done the swim tests and some marksmanship training, they are standing watch (guard duty), and able to go to religous services on Saturday/Sunday and that there is a service for EVERY faith, Christian-Hindu-Muslim-Jewish, everyone has an opportunity to go. They have done the first physical fitness assessment as well.

The only call I want from here on out is the "I'm a Sailor call" and this time I hope I have more to say. 28 days to go!!

Got a lettet today, Hell Week is in full swing! They seem to be doing well at the time of his writing and looking forward to PIR!
Thanks for sharing I was wondering when hell week was for them, I am so proud of them!!! Go 319!!!!!
Does anyone for Div 320 know exactly what week / day they are on? I tried to figure it out from one of my SRs letters but think I'm off.

Just heard that the Chicago marathon is on Oct 7th and that traffic is a nightmare all weekend as streets get blocked off and runners arrive. I've never been to Chicago so is this something we need to avoid or is RTC far enough away that we should just avoid going 'into the city'?

Well, 22 days till we get to watch our sons, can't wait to see my son.  It will be a very emotional day, weekend!!!

320 and so ready for 10/5! Getting so excited!!!

  Hello,

My son is in Ship 11 Div 320, have not receive the "Im a sailor' call, still waiting, also panning to drive to GL, it will take 3 days for us to get there, Im not really sure on what to take, meaning of pases and waht else do I have to pay duirng the drive, it is a little difficult for me to read english, someone can plz tell me what else do I need to do or take to be able to see my son and what can I buy for him for his graduation date?

Hi - print your gate pass. Make sure everyone that comes w you has a photo ID. For your car make sure your liscense plates are current. Have the vehicle registration and proof of insurance. Illinois has lots of toll roads - make sure you bring lots of change to pay the tolls. Drive safe.
