Welcome to the discussion group for division 822.
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there ladies!!!

Joanie my son said he knew someone from Texas that is in his Div..
hey Mel! could be "A". I have to find out if he is saying he is from Texas or NH. I never know with him. :)
Private message me your last name....I will ask if they know each other. I will PM you "A" last name.
I was so happy to hear my baby boys voice!!! I got a call on the 23rd from my boy only for my address..but this time it was to hear his mommas voice...He started tearing up so I immediately jumped to whats wrong mode until he just said momma im glad to hear your voice...He had his wisdom teeth pulled last week but is doing well. I will apologize now because he is a smiler & he has admitted to getting in trouble for the permanent smile but he informed me he is working on it. lol Just so happy to hear his voice!
My son had his wisdom teeth out also. He told his dad he got "dry socket" so he had to go get medicine today becuase he was still in pain after more than a week out. Hopefully the medication will take care of the pain.
We will say a prayer for a quick healing so he can get back to business...
Gosh Shawn I hope so!!! Mine said he was in pain for a day but was back at it 2 days later....He had a dental check the day we got calls
My son also got in trouble for smilling.. We warned him about that beautiful smile before he left.. But he said after an Hour of IT he was still smilling...LOL.. I aid good money for that smile and those perfect teeth..
These poor RDC's!!!! Sounds like they have a group of SMILIN' Sailor Recruits!!!! lol
Tough day for me. In reading some of the online comments I told my husband we might be getting a call from my son. My son called my husband and talked for a short time. I was at work and waited anxiously by the phone for another two hours. My daughter called and the first words I said were "Did you hear from Marshall?" She said "Yes, he wants me to tell you he's sorry he isn't able to call you." I'm so, so glad that he has the relationship with his sister that he wanted to call her, but I had no idea how devastated I would be that he hadn't called me. I didn't realize how much that call meant to me until I didn't receive it. I suspect he will hear from his sister's letters that I really need him to call me next time!
Shawn I am so sorry!!!! I can imagine how you feel!!!! Big hugs to you...
@Melray - my son is 6'2" or 3" (depending on who is measuring!), which made him too tall to be the flag carrier. He is the tallest of my boys and lords those few inches over his older brothers. =)
So it is your son switching? Or not? Jack just mentioned that he had talked with someone who was planning to make the switch and that he had received word about a review for tomorrow, but if he decided not to switch - well, you would know more about that then I would. Either way, I hope he gets the job he wants.
@Joanie - he didn't mention anyone by name about slacking, his comment was that they only received a 4.9/5 on their PT and so some people needed to step up and quit slacking. Personally, I don't think that sounds like anyone is slacking, but then again, I'm not the one at boot camp!
Glad to know the other recruits were able to reach out to their families and loved ones as well. Hopefully if you didn't receive a call today, one will be forthcoming soon.
MY husband corrected me on his height he is 6'2" so they are probably right there together.. After all how many giants can there be..LOL...
He was cinsidering switching they asked him to when he got there because they are short on Air rescue but he said he's not now.. Who knows it could all change tomorrow..
My son said he passed all his pft's but the swim was hard because all 100 of them were in the pool at the same time, So people were getting head butted, kicked, and elbowed.. LOL He said he didn't get hit. He stayed away...
I hope our boys have all met each other that would be so cool since we are all helping each other through this...
Hope we get letters today and more phone calls soon ...
Hang in there MOM's we are almost half way there....
